Is it worth it to go on guided tours or on your own. And which ones are better? How to get to Antalya itself?

with a hotel guide one and a half times more expensive, and in a street agency it is cheaper and basically everything is the same. I don't see the point in paying more. If they scare you with insurance - do not believe it. The insurance is valid throughout Turkey, not with an individual tour operator.

with a hotel guide more expensive, but more reliable (at least mentally and subconsciously more reliable)
although it’s not a fact that there will be a smaller bus around the corner in a travel agency, a shorter tour and I want guides ...
Antalya itself can be reached by regular bus
(for the cost and schedule, you can check with the guide or at the reception)

Hotel guides are more expensive, but still more reliable.
We did this: we took short and risky excursions on the street, so that it would be cheaper,
and excursions such as Pamukkale or Demre / Mira / Kekovo are best taken from a hotel guide.
Still, not a short road, you never know ...
Better safe than sorry IMHO

I agree with Gold. Although she took only at the hotel.
And another sightseeing tour of Antalya should be free. =)
And one more thing. =) Often, during a stay at a hotel, some shop (leather) comes and shows the collections. For those who are interested, they sign up for departure the next day. The couple, with the cat we were resting, went like this and fell behind them after the store. We just stayed to walk around the city. =) Also an option. =)

rested in 2008. I took an excursion on the street both in Pamukkale and in Mira. In principle, it is no different from excursions with a guide. Except for one thing, if you come from a long-distance excursion late, you can count on a late dinner (if dinner time has passed) you can only if an excursion "from the guide" arrived at the same time as you (this applies to excursions taken on the street). Once we were 5 minutes late and we were not fed, and for "official" tourists they always leave a "late dinner".

we went only with hotel excursions, very satisfied ... cheaper around the corner, but we were with a child and were afraid!

I went to Mira / Kekova in a street agency and I went with a child (3 years old). my sister works as a guide from the hotel and I'll tell you NOTHING DIFFERENT tours. If you want to overpay then take a tour at the hotel. And if, God forbid, something happens, then the hotel guides will also say that it is the fault of the tourist and will not help in any way. ))

Well, we did the opposite. They took it to Antalya from a guide at the hotel (you say free? Means: ho-ho-ho) - I took 10 bucks from the nose (2006). And then the tourists from the hotel advised "Guy from the street." We went to his "office" and took a cheaper tour of Pamukkale. We traveled in the same bus with those who took a tour from the hotel guide. All on an equal footing - we paid less current. They make good discounts, especially if you come in a crowd (organize those who wish at the hotel, at least 4 people and go ahead). We then recommended him to new arrivals - he also promised to throw him on the next excursion .... sorry, the vacation is over ... gygygy
