In general, I don’t see the point in Marco Polo class hotels to pay extra for deluxe rooms, etc. - for the final cost, you can just take a better hotel :))) You can change the room, provided that there are free ones, just don’t rush to check in

You can change calmly. There are always free rooms, even at the height of the season. The main thing is not to settle in the Garden-old rooms, there is a smell of mold, noise from the pool ... The surcharge is small. We paid $ 90 for relocation (there were three of us, in August) and choose the number you want.

We also bought a standard, and then for a specific surcharge, which the person at the reception calls - we asked for a room closer to the sea and a 2-room apartment on the 2nd floor. I don’t remember how much they paid, but I don’t think that after 2 years this is relevant. Ask the price at the reception - and you will be given a good room. And the rooms that are better, in my opinion, are near the pool and closer to the sea. Returned May 18th. I changed the Family room to the same one, but with a double bed. They changed it without problems, but only the next morning after arrival - as soon as a free one appeared. No problems or extras. The refurbishment this year, apparently, touched the rooms of the Garden - the club rooms were renovated before last season.
