Please advise where is the best place to buy excursions?
I read a lot about the fact that it is better to buy excursions from street agencies than from a hotel guide (cheaper, but the quality is the same). Is it true? If yes, please tell me where to go? We are going to Turkey for the first time and would like to visit historical places, see the sights. Thanks in advance for advice)

You are right, it is at least 2-3 times more expensive for hotel guides, and one girl from our hotel managed to buy an excursion 5 times more expensive. So my opinion is buy on the street. As for the agency, if you plan to get to Beldibi near Kemer, then I will advise the agency called "High Tour" specifically this branch is located next to the disco "Tin (jest)" opposite the SENTIDO hotel, there are guys Ibrahim, Rasul and Nurik . And if you come to them with greetings from Sergey, then you will have discounts and special treatment, because I had a chance to make friends with them. And in general, our choice fell on this agency due to their attitude towards people in general and towards clients in particular.

We took tours at the hotel.... although it's cheaper on the street..
If you take quadrics, it’s easier to take it on the street --- anyway, 50 people come there and the service is the same there, and if in cultural places, then guides are better at hotels (they have education) --- in this regard, I advise Demre-Mira-Kekova-- - both close and interesting .... In Pamukala it is also very beautiful only to go far ... You can also go to mountain lakes --- there you can catch trout and eat. GOOD LUCK

It will be very far to High Tour, where Nurik works. The opposite end of the village. But there are offices of this company throughout Beldibi. Just take a walk down the street and you will see several agencies. it didn’t work out - the trip failed twice in a row. Therefore, I took all the excursions - 5 pieces - from Maxwell Tour. But this is just such an accident.
It is far from a fact that the guides from the tour operator are better than in street agencies. All excursions were carried out at the level, I learned a lot of interesting things. On the contrary, the guide from Pegasus, when traveling to Antalya, carried such nonsense that his ears curled up. Last year I went to Pamukkale with a guide from the Anex tour. The man was interesting and it was fun with him, but the historical part of the tour was very incomprehensible. This year, the guide from Maxwell Lily made the same tour much more informative.

Been in Turkey 3 times traveled almost everything interesting in my opinion, at first I took it from Maxwell, then I just drove a car from them and drove around myself. My record (Demer Mira Kekova, Pamukale, waterfall, Shopping center, amusement park (the water park was closed) all this in Antalya, Mount Hemera, (better in the evening), Olympos and a beautiful bay, cool restaurants in Ulupenar. On the way5 we made many stops in good places and all this in 3.5 days, seeing everything. In the most interesting places, they simply joined the visiting guides and listened to all the stories. It seems that I have listed everything. If there are even two of you, then rent a car and gasoline, as well as the cost of entering the tour it will be cheaper than your guide is 100% and maybe a little cheaper or the same as street agencies.but the beauty is that you can stay where you want. And on the way to Demre Mira Kekova there is a street restaurant and you can eat blue crabs there, very cool.
And I strongly advise you to go to a restaurant in Ulupenar, but not the first at the entrance, but (Botanist and something else is called) they are nearby. Tasty, varied and not expensive at our Odessa prices. And when we were there, we were bargaining in the restaurant despite the fact that there was a menu.

And also a SPA in Kemer (Thaw guides say that street operators don’t take them there, NEVERTE). And we did all this with the correct formulation of the task in 3.5 days

I completely agree with you regarding freedom of movement and freedom of choice when traveling independently. But - People go to Turkey for the first time - what kind of car ...

Finding a street agency in any inhabited place in Turkey is not a problem. Do not get hung up on brands, upon arrival, calmly walk around the area near the hotel, find a shopping street and look at advertising signs (agencies work until late), do not be lazy to look at each one, take advertisements, write down prices, read reviews. We usually do this before meeting with the guide (we also consider his proposals, but we focus on prices: now in Side at Pegasus, a Turkish bath and rafting were at the same price as the street - so why not take it?) You should not immediately pick up excursions in one place, like it, come back and buy a second one, and don't forget to bargain! Good luck.

bileg - I was the first time and took the car too. The only advice is to buckle up, pay the fine.
And yes, the simplest Turks, few people speak English, especially Russian (not in the hotel). If you are driving yourself, the agency will give you a map and show you the routes, but if you are still in doubt, buy postcards with sights and if you get lost, stop and ask anyone from the picture how to get there (they will even explain on your fingers). And I forgot to say it makes no sense to go to the cable car, and there is a cool park behind Antalya, it’s worth going there and walking (beautifully) for 3-4 hours you can spend.

We bought a ticket to High Tour on the world of St. Nicholas + a yacht and a sunken city instead of a real world, we were taken along the way from Tekirova to ordinary Lycian tombs and some kind of small amphitheater, and for some reason we were taken to an expensive onyx factory (some kind of tents in the steppe) and the Turkish guide shouted that icons should be bought only in "his store" though the sunken city on the yacht is very beautiful + swimming

In Alanya, Jamal Celentano is better.
