Prompt experienced and seasoned tourists, pliz!
We are going for the first time on February 15, 2011. to Turkey in Kemer, but we can’t figure out what things to take with us. According to forecasts, they write almost 18 degrees during the day and 5 degrees at night. Yes, and I understand that fins are even theoretically not needed there at this time.

Take warm clothes - sweaters, jackets, sneakers, trousers, umbrellas (it's rainy there at this time of the year), also take some T-shirts, it might come in handy. Around 18C at this time happens in rare hours when the sun comes out from behind the clouds. Flippers, unless you are a walrus or swim in the heated pool (don't know if this particular hotel has it).

I was there on January 31 - +15 in the afternoon, probably it was - but the wind is sooo strong !!!
A set of things - T-shirts, fleece, etc. But the scarf was clearly enough for the body, not that it was cold, but it was somehow uncomfortable ...
Only Scandinavians swam in the sea...

Thank you, with clothes everything is clear.
And where can I go in Kemer, what excursions? How much money to take with you?

Why did you decide to go to Turkey in February? (It's up to you, of course, but I'm just curious...)
There are no attractions in Kemer. As a rule, the most popular excursion in Turkey is Pamukkale. But there, even in October, +9 degrees (unlike resort places). We went - stiffened, caught a cold. And now - and even more so ...
Even in Turkey there is a water park "Troya" (again - completely off-season).
I can’t even imagine what you will be doing there in February! If you only look at the sea through the window of the room, but go to breakfast / lunch / dinner?

Egypt was closed, they said to wait a year for money or fly to Turkey, I chose the second option!

The description of the hotel says that the Internet is in the room, it’s not clear whether it’s paid or not, but even if it’s paid in the room, then the lobby bar should be free in a 5 * hotel. Take your laptop with you, you won't be bored in the evenings. And so I think you will have a normal rest, silence, good food, a change of scenery. Dont be upset!

Ooooh....
What a great travel agency...
"To sell" Turkey into a completely "dead" season ...
Cunning!
And I thought that instead of Egypt they offer YOUR choice - any country with which they work.
I sympathize (((

what excursions?
To Tahtali, to the Duden waterfall (which is in the sea), the old part of Antalya ... Actually, you need to find out by the weather
аватар csn071070
the most predictable excursions are shopping, shopping, and once again OH, dear ... they will even offer it to you for free, if only you agree to leave some of your money there ...
and from the affordable and popular - boat trips on a yacht to Antalya, Demre-Mira-Kekov (on a visit to St. Nicholas, to the flooded cities and rock tombs of the Lycians with a marble amphitheater), in principle, they will find you where to take you ... I repeat once again - for your money

Your hotel is located in Goynuk. Turn around the corner of the hotel and catch dolmush. I don’t remember the fare now - either a dollar, or two. Get out near the White Tower, the fountain and the monument to Ataturk, you will see. Stop across the road. Get into the dolmush with the inscription Faselis. It takes a little less than 20 minutes to get there. Dolmush will bring you to the entrance of the Phaselis park. Buy tickets, $6 per person. And follow the path down. The walk is pleasant, among the pines, quiet and peaceful. Exit to the bay, on the left there will be the remains of the acropolis. To the right along the road you can immediately see Hadrian's Gate. There is room for creativity here, explore the bay and the city itself, the ruins of baths, houses and an amphitheater, to which a wooden staircase leads up. Go along the main street to another bay, where yachts usually stand. It takes wonderful pictures. Back in the same order. There is a stop at the entrance, the dolmush will arrive very soon. Get off at the same stop in Kemer, transfer to the one going to Goynuk.
Stop near the hotel, a large wooden bridge across the street. Believe me, the road takes very little time, we arrived from Phaselis to Goynuk in 25 minutes.
Also near Goynuk there is a famous Canyon. You can go to Old Antalya. If interested - write.

"Get out near the White Tower, the fountain and the monument to Ataturk, you will see."
Of course, get out in Kemer, I forgot to clarify.
And don't be afraid of anything. This is a very quiet area, tourists are loved here. ))) It is much more interesting to travel by yourself. True, having prepared in advance informatively.

They love tourists
Especially the tourists! They call everyone Natasha ... They molested, despite the fact that she was walking with her parents.

To get to Old Antalya, you need to take a dolmush from Goynuk ($4 per person) and get off in front of Migros. Cross the road. It's noticeable - you can't go wrong. At the corner, you need to take a bus with the inscription "100 yil" ("100 years") ($ 1 per person). Pay immediately by naming your destination. Just don't get on the big bus. It stops every 20 meters. Better in small expressions. When you enter the salon through the front door, stand on the right to see the street. In the salon, the Turks were talking all at the same time and loudly, the sun was hot at the window, the bus was dragging along. Horror! The husband showed a nearby guy in dreadlocks a note with the words "Yug kapilar". And he pointed out the window! We look - here they are, the gates of Old Antalya. And then stop. This is a wonderful city. The streets are empty and quiet, unlike noisy Antalya. Antique paving stones. Boarding houses, cafes.
Ruins of some buildings. Refurbished and no home, flowers. Go towards the sea. We left near the old tower.

Here begins a huge park where Antalya residents and tourists rest. Buy ice cream. The seller will definitely do a trick with him so that your wife gets scared and screams))) From here, the view of the sea and the bay is awesome. In any weather. Take a camera. We spent two hours there. And we returned to dinner in Goynuk, in our Boran. Back - the same. Cross Old Town and turn left. Ask anyone "Migros", they will immediately show where the bus is. Stop at Goynuk near Migros down the highway.
We are going to Istanbul in May. Booked a hotel. Googled the route. Here we go! )))
Have an interesting trip. Kemer is a nice and glorious town by the sea in any weather.

well done zama!!! Old Antalya is great! In tyrnet you can still see (I don’t remember anymore) there some kind of tram runs from Ataturk Park past the old city. And Istanbul is generally cool! Between "Sofia" and "Sultan Ahmet" you feel like on the set of "Kingdom of Heaven". We crossed to the Asian part by ferry.

Thank you! We will definitely take a ticket for the ferry.

Ataturk Park - opposite Migros. Those who want to shop in it come out near it.

Of course, you don’t buy and sunbathe there in February, but there is an opportunity to look from the tran!!!
If you go to "Queen Elizabeth", then do not buy excursions from the guide !!! Leave the hotel and go to the very tail of the ship, there will be a travel agency Young Travel right behind the hotel building ... we took it there - prices are 2.5-3 times lower, and the quality is super !!! Go to Kemer, Antalya, only not by taxi, it's very expensive - get out of the hotel and there is immediately a bus stop. Kemer 3$. Antalya 4$... Prices are fixed.
In Antalya, exit near the migros center - there is nothing to do in it, an ordinary and large shopping center. But nearby there is an insanely beautiful park (entrance is free) and a super amusement park (about $ 17 for 10 tokens) ... just don't take 10 tokens each - it's too much!!! Take 10 for two - it will not be enough - buy in addition !!!
In Kemer, as was said, get off at the end - near the clock tower, and ask how to get to the main street and to the embankment ....
just don’t walk for a long time - minibuses go until 23 * 30, and after this time, taxi fares are doubled !!!
There will be questions - please!
