I heard that from Turkish Marmaris there is an excursion to Greek Rhodes without a Schengen visa, i.e. hotel guides somehow regulate this issue. Who knows what?

Yes. Without Schengen, they will bring you to the island of Sedir and say that this is Rhodes :-)

Wait a little more and Greece will not need a Schengen at all.

Go to this site, everything is described in detail here
http://daisy-tour.com/ekskursii/rodos.html
Hotel rooms will be more expensive
аватар lanochk
The information on the site is contradictory - 50, as well as 100 dollars are indicated. To choose from? Or 150?
аватар Pachok
Excursion 55, PLUS visa processing 100.
аватар Tati1144
The information is not contradictory. It's just that if tourists have Schengen, then they pay only the cost of the tour - $ 55

Is this possible only from Marmaris? Are there such ferries from Kemer?
Folks, is this just a one-day visit for $155? For a second visit, you need to apply again for a short term for 155? Expensive painful for 6 hours on the island...(((

This is only for tourists coming from the Turkish ports of Bodrum, Marmaris, Dikili, Foca, Fethiye, Ayvalik, Cesme and Kusadasi to the nearby Greek islands of Chios, Kos, Lesvos, Rhodes, Samos, Symi and Kastelorizo. A visa is slapped only in Greece for 15 days, that is, this is not a Schengen.
This is how I learned from Cesme about the ferry to Chios in 2013.

It is not necessary to involve hotel guides or agencies here at all. Just buy tickets for the ferry and take with you photos and copies of documents (the list can be obtained from the transport company that sells ferry tickets).
аватар Pachok
And will they issue a visa upon arrival at the Greek port? Doesn't have to be done in advance?
аватар orhideya21
Those. once paid at the agency for a short term and ride for 15 days at least every day?)) only pay for the ferry?)
Or even a more joyful and cheaper version of Pachok will pass?))
аватар lanochk
Expensive though. It's easier to go to Rhodes separately
аватар orhideya21
By reference to Daisy, the tour no longer produces anything. Just a server error. Didn't get a response from them either.
аватар Pachok
Everything opens up for me.
аватар orhideya21
I already have too)). But still there is no answer from them ((. Poorly protect a potential client)))

In my opinion, a one-day trip from Marmaris to Rhodes is relevant only if you have a valid Schengen visa, when you are tired of the beauty of Marmaris and its bays, or if you want to eat traditional Greek dishes such as moussaka or kleftiko. Special planning for such a trip without a Schengen visa, but with an order for a short-term Greek visa is not worth the financial or labor costs. There is little time for a walk, a lot of running around, but for a change and without inflated tourist expectations, such a trip can be made.

A week like from Kos from Bodrum. Not Rhodes, but the whole procedure is the same. A visa is given exactly Schengen C, but without a photo, pasted into the passport upon arrival on the Greek island. For up to 15 days, they give only if there is a hotel reservation (for example, a printout from the booking). If not, then 1 day. Documents are submitted within 4 days.
I agree with borispolskiy completely!

Good afternoon! We just went to Rhodes in August, it was from Marmaris (Grand Yazici Club Turban hotel) that we booked in the same Daisy Tour company, so I know firsthand.
We didn't have Schengen.
First, we booked on the site, the next day we met with the guide at the hotel, gave her copies of passports, but be sure to do this in advance! (we did 5 days before the tour).
They do not make Schengen in its purest form, but, as they explained to us, a special short-term visa valid only on the territory of the island. Visa is expensive - $100.
Then we took a ferry to Rhodes, walked there INDEPENDENTLY. It was possible to buy a sightseeing tour from the locals there, but we did not take it. And on the same day they returned by ferry.
You can go once, but no more. If there was a Schengen, it would be much easier and cheaper with it ...

Were in Marmaris from 05/07/2016 to 05/17/2016. Everything is great as always. There is only kindness everywhere. There were no tour operators. It turned out much cheaper. We swam in the sea and in the pool. They didn't freeze anywhere. We have been on many excursions. Sea of positive emotions.

Tell me, who knows, is it possible to issue this one hundred dollar visa yourself without agencies? But not for a hundred dollars))) After all, I understand that this cost also includes "tip" agencies, the visa itself should, in theory, be cheaper. Ferry tickets are also not worth $55. What am I, if somehow I do everything myself, is it possible to reduce the cost of the trip?
аватар ollennka
A visa is also issued on the spot upon arrival, not necessarily through a travel agency, the main thing is to prepare photographs and a visa fee of 35 euros. Well, so that there was a return ticket, this visa is given for 15 days. I didn’t swim myself (the ferry doesn’t run every day), but in Cheshme I found out at the ticket office, there was just no question of a hundred dollars).
аватар
ollennka, can you elaborate? So I can just come to the ticket office, buy a ticket for the Marmaris-Rhodes-Marmaris ferry? How much does it cost do you know? Then I just sail (they will let me on the ferry without a visa, by the way?), I go out in Rhodes and upon arrival I buy a visa for 35 euros, did I understand correctly or not?
аватар ollennka
Yes, just go to the ticket office, find out the ferry schedule and a set of documents for a visa upon arrival. I won’t tell you the price, I wanted to sail from Cesme, but since we missed the ferry, I didn’t even find out the price.
аватар
ollennka, cool. and what documents do you need do not know?
аватар ollennka
Passport, photo and, in fact, ferry tickets. Google the photo format better additionally, sort of like a regular Schengen.

yes, they don’t need a Schengen there .. they put a stamp in some kind of passport ... for 15 days it seems .. but you are there for a day - an excursion, then a rest-party and then an after-party - a hangover in our opinion. Please note that such an excursion to Rhodes includes only transportation, excursions. and lunch and everything else for the money.. but denyushki there are already different than in Turkey... a pack of cigarettes 10 euros, water. tea, a cup of coffee - 7-10. Booze how much does it cost to say ???? In short, after the after party, some unreasonable ones run either to ATMs or borrow ..
