A few questions about Alupka.
Good day !
In the near future, my wife and I plan to go on vacation to the Crimea. Namely - as follows from the title of the topic - in Alupka.
In the Crimea and, consequently, in Alupka, we have never been. Hence - a number of questions that some of the avid cruisers will seem naive and banal. But we (and in general, we dare to believe that not only us) are very, very interested in the answers to them.
one). Where, while living in Alupka, you can go, what would you advise to see directly on the spot and not far from it?
Where, directly in Alupka, you can buy an interesting and inexpensive tour?
Special thanks - for the prices for excursions that are relevant at the moment.

2). The eternal theme is FOOD...
What fruits and how much can you buy at the local market in the second half of July?
what are the prices for food in local stores at the moment ?
Are there even slightly decent supermarkets in Alupka (well, or at least an analogue of Pyaterochka, in extreme cases :)), or is everything limited to small shops?
Advise a decent and not very expensive tavern where you can "starve a worm" for a reasonable amount (about 500 rubles for two), and not be poisoned by local catering staff. Is this possible??? If you post a scan with current menu prices, or just tell us where and how much you ate while in Alupka this year, you'll get +1 to Karma...
Names of establishments and their addresses can write to me in PM.
3). ATMs.
How are things with these devices?
Where can I cash out money from a Russian Sberbank card? Will there be any difficulties?
Well, that's all for now...
More questions come up - I'll add more.
Good luck to all !
I'm waiting for answers!

In Alupka itself, there is the famous Vorontsov Palace (you can buy a tour) and the most beautiful Vorontsov Park (you can walk along it for free). Literally a 20-minute drive from Alupka is the Swallow's Nest. You can get there either by minibus (you just have to take a solid walk), or by boat, it goes from Alupka directly to the Swallow's Nest. Again, next to Alupka (about 10 minutes by minibus) is Mount Ai-Petri. If you wish, you can go to Yalta on your own. About an hour or 1.5 bus ride. And you can take excursions, which will cost 3-4 more expensive, but more comfortable. In Yalta, I advise you to see the Nikitsky Botanical Garden and visit a tasting at the Massadrovskie wines factory.

I just read that I had never been to the Crimea ... Well, I would not particularly recommend Alupka ... A small town, with steep mountain streets, up and down. The picky ones won't like it. But there is civilization, and I think there should be a supermarket (I was in Crimea last year, I went to the city as a personal excursion), mostly small shops predominate, maybe I didn’t meet him. Of the sights of the Crimea - of course the Krasnya and (or) Marble caves, Paradise Park (the former village of Aivazovsky). I have already written about the cable car along Ai-Petri. When choosing souvenirs, pay attention to juniper wooden coasters. If put hot, they should smell good. But lately, sellers have been cheating: they are selling an ordinary tree under the guise of a juniper (for the same price. Therefore, you must first smell the stand)))

It is better to bring cash with you, it will be problematic to withdraw.

Dayria, Alupka has everything :). Personally, I love Alupka and rested there 7 times. Of the minuses: if you go with children, yes, the ascents and descents are difficult for them. Plus the beach is small. But this year there are not very many tourists, so maybe the beach will no longer be a problem. There is civilization - there are supermarkets in the New Microdistrict near dignity. Yuzhnoberezhny, where there is a large residential sector of skyscrapers. There is a market and lots of shops. In the very center of Alupka, there are also enough shops (albeit not supermarkets, but ordinary ones), but the prices here are a bit higher. It is very convenient to get from Alupka in any direction. We independently, without excursions, traveled all over the Crimean coast from here - minibuses run perfectly, a boat. There are no problems getting to Sevastopol (just go up to the upper route and take a minibus to Foros or Sevastopol there, or buy a ticket for a regular bus), or even to Sudak _Koktebel (although, of course, you are tormented by a bad and winding road to go here, so don’t recommend). You just get to Yalta by minibus, and immediately change to another one in the right direction. To the Nikitsky garden, please, the boat will come right away.

The cable car is generally easier than ever: take a minibus in Alupka, get off at Miskhor, take tickets at the box office. Back the same way - by minibus and in 10 minutes you are already at Vorontsovsky.

Be sure to go up the cable car to AI-Petri, on your own, without an excursion, you will be there as long as you need, take enough money with you. There is a small ecological fee for the passage to the top, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk slowly, there are caves below, the Geographical cave worked with us, it is not big, but there are a lot of stalloctites and you can see everything up close. Very tasty food in the market, we ate in pavilion 15, but in my opinion they cook well everywhere. Try pilaf and pork kebab for sure, good pita bread, they also sell Turkish-style sweets, wine on tap with tasting. Wear windbreakers or jackets, and breeches or trousers, as there is a very strong wind at the top, it will be cool, especially if you go in the morning or late in the evening, or the weather will not be hot, after rain, for example. Ride on your own, stay there as long as you need, there is nothing complicated, the last descent is at 19:00. We were on a tour, we liked the food so much that I wanted to climb again on my own, but mine were not supported due to finances. The views themselves are interesting when climbing, especially if you have not been anywhere on the cable car.

I absolutely agree that Ai Petri should be climbed without organizational groups. We were there on our own and with a tour group. I liked the first one much more - you will be free in your movement at the top, you will be able to taste Tatar dishes as much as you like without being tied to time. It is very convenient to arrive at the cable car by the time of its first or second launch, and go down after lunch. Do not forget umbrellas - it often rains on Ai Petra, while it is sunny down on the coast.
In general, if you are still interested in how to get out somewhere on your own, ask, I will tell you. To be honest, many excursions are much cheaper and more pleasant to get out yourself. If necessary, you can always stick to any excursion already on the spot and listen to the guide if something is interesting.
