Where on the South Coast there are comfortable beaches for children?
In early August, we are planning to go to the Crimea with two children for two weeks. Since one child has problems with the respiratory system, there is a desire to go to the South Coast.
Since the beaches on the South Coast are more suitable for adults, I really want to have at least some, more or less, near-sand beach for children.
What place can you recommend so that children can have a good time on the beach?
Most boarding houses do not take small children (we have a one-year-old), then we plan to look for private hotels or already look for private offers on the spot.

We are going in July. I have a Jam Day in July))) We have a price tag of 400 UAH / day in Alubik (in a hostel) and in Koreiz as well

I support. If you choose Alupka-Koreiz, then Alupka is better than Koreiz. All the same, the Park, the Palace, and the center are more interesting. You will walk in the park. Miskhor is far on foot.

I insist that you need to climb up to the Forest from Lenina Street) I rested there in 2008, since then it is unlikely to have moved lower)

In 2009, I spent two weeks with my wife at the Forest Hotel - a good hotel, excellent cuisine (it's a pity they didn't make coffee), awesome view. The descent-ascent did not strain, although it will be difficult with small children. On the South Coast, I saw normal beaches only in Partenit, Miskhor, Gurzuf, Alushta. I didn’t see beaches in Alupka, what is called a beach is a narrow and short strip of stones and pebbles. For myself, even then I concluded that there is something to see in Crimea, excellent nature. I swore to rest in Crimea forever, in particular because I did not meet Ukrainians there, real, loving Ukraine, and therefore, making it better, as they do in the Carpathians, Transcarpathia, etc.

I found the Dalamia hotel in Simeiz. Near the sea. What do you think?
аватар alex181
At the expense of security in the Crimea for Ukrainians, let's wait a month, let's see the trends. And then I will draw the final conclusions.
аватар alex181
If you go to "rest" in the Crimea, you can afford to live in comfortable conditions for good money.
But first of all, we plan to improve our health so that the children can breathe more Crimean air. Therefore, we cannot afford to stay in sanatoriums for three weeks.
Therefore, the question is, who knows, is it possible to find economy class housing in Alupka in early August, not far from the sea, for $ 25 per day?
Necessary conditions: own shower, toilet and the opportunity to cook for the child. There will be two adults and two children.

alex181,
Now there are a lot of citizens on the territory of Crimea, both Ukraine and Russia. Don't worry, everything will be fine. And no one has ever canceled personal safety anywhere, you just need to be careful yourself.
PS The hatred comes from the southeastern citizens of Ukraine who have become refugees. Women, children, the elderly are placed in boarding houses, sanatoriums, the private sector of the Crimea. The men joined the militia, took up arms, defending their homes, their land from the bombing of the National Guard of Ukraine, which has already wiped out Slavinsk and Kramotorsk! It's true. I am writing this so that you understand the situation, these people do not accumulate hatred.

I ask you not to write more about the situation in southern Ukraine here. Especially to express your opinion.
Now I understand different Ukrainians, and Russians, and Crimeans, because I put myself in their place, what would I do...

This is not judgment! God forbid, Ukrainian troops will shoot at your children, you will speak differently!!! It's time to take off your rose colored glasses!

You can talk about politics in political forums. Prove your point there.

Once again I ask you, we are not talking about politics here! I propose to meet with you in the Crimea on vacation and talk there! :)
So what place have you chosen for yourself?
аватар musja7
edels you are on a tourism forum, not a political one. Living in Russia, you cannot assess the situation in Ukraine from the inside. Therefore, let's discuss all political beliefs in our political forums. Here, specifically, tourism.
And one more thing: it is advisable to respect opponents from another country.
Regarding "Dalamia" in Simeiz: Dalamia is not located in Simeiz itself, but along the lower road from Alupka to Simeiz. Those. to Alupka (Vorontsovsky) you need to go by minibus, to the center of Simeiz (walk in the evening) - stomp for 40 minutes on foot (well, or catch a minibus). Those. Dalamia is located in a remote place on the way to Simeiz (Alupka ends - a landmark of the san. Baranova - Simeiz begins, to which it’s really possible to stomp on the road for another 30-40 minutes. There is no market nearby, two mini-shops are within walking distance. Everything else is necessary get out to civilization. If you are satisfied with rest in silence away from noisy places, then you can. If you want entertainment, get ready to climb and stomp in the evenings on foot (because minibuses stop running early and you won’t get anywhere at 22 o’clock. Only on foot , if you want a little longer somewhere zatus The nearest beach from Dalamia is wild, with a terribly uncomfortable back to the sea
аватар musja7
I continue: but to the beach (convenient) you can walk from Dalamia to the "Frog" (it's literally 10 minutes walk down - the landmark of San. Bobrov). Unfortunately, all vacationers from the private sector of high-rise buildings of Alupka also go to the Frog (this large microdistrict is located nearby, at the exit from Alupka, near the san. Bobrov-Baranov and Yuzhnoberezhny). Therefore, there are no more places at 8 in the morning :) you really need to get to the beach no later than 7-7.30. Then there is a chance
In a word, Dalamia is really relatively close to the sea. But the nearest beach is very inconvenient, it is difficult to enter the sea because of the large slippery stones. The nearest civilized beach is already crowded at 7 am. Get out to civilization in the evening - either to the center of Alupka. or to the center of Simeiz - in both directions on foot for 40 minutes, by minibus faster. But after 22-22.30 minibuses no longer run

The hotel is not. But such conditions can be found in the private housing sector, especially if you look in the district of the new microdistrict a little higher than the Yuzhnoberezhny sanatorium. Unfortunately, you can't rent a turnkey apartment for that kind of money (in August prices start at $40-50 for a one-room apartment). But for $25 you can rent a "turnkey room" and use the same kitchen and amenities. There are many offers, because there are many apartment buildings.
There is also convenience in this location: there are pharmacies, a market, shops nearby, if God forbid you need a doctor's help, two sanatoriums "under your nose." Nearby is the "frog" beach, convenient for children, or you can arrange to go to the "south coast" beach. BUT: the beaches are small, as I wrote above, there are not enough places for everyone. If you are ready to be on the beach at 7.30, then you will have time. walk in Vorontsovsky xza 5 minutes you will reach by minibus (as I understand it, night parties until the morning with children in cafes will not occupy you very much)
аватар musja7
alex181, I continue: since the New Alupka microdistrict is large and sprawling, I give you a landmark of streets with numbers of multi-access houses that are most optimally located both to the sea and to the market-shops and small cafes (i.e. within 200-300 m): Ulyanovykh 2, 4, 10-16, Surikov 2, 6, 18, 22 (personally, for three years we rented a turnkey apartment on Surikov 12. It is to the sea ("Frog") - exactly 7 minutes on foot, 280 m. To the bazaar. pharmacies and shops - 100 m.
To the center of Alupka (Vorntsovsky) and to the center of Simeiz from here you will be 2-3 km on foot or by minibus (bus stop nearby)
Why I don’t really recommend staying in the old part of Alupka in the Vorntsovsky district in the private sector: there are old Tatar buildings, and the price is overpriced compared to the New microdistrict, where there are skyscrapers. Those. for big money you get worse conditions.
ps as an option in Alupka mini-hotel for families with children, I can offer you to look at the economy option of the Green Cape hotel. Its plus is that it is located on the very seashore - 2 minutes away (he has a personal mini-beach there, although there is no large territory for walking). Pretty cozy and not far from the center of Alupka - 10 minutes on foot.
аватар musja7
I won’t tell you the price policy in Cape Verde this year, because. Don't know. who is already in charge. earlier (even last year) the hotel belonged to the people of Lviv, but as this year, in connection with recent events, I will not tell you. But for the recovery of children, for whom it is important to be within 400 m from the sea 24 hours a day, it is very successful.

Thanks for the house number tips. Where do you get such detailed knowledge of the area?
What do you mean by "turnkey room"? Is it living in an apartment building with some other family? If so, how common are these options?
Taking up space in the morning is not a problem for me. A few years ago, at 6 am in Sudak, I went to take a seat, inflated the children's pool, poured water and left. And the whole family came after breakfast.

alex181, our family is one of those for whom "Crimea is just in the heart" :). Because Crimea can either be loved as it is, or there is simply no need to go there. So, despite all the foreign vacations, every year we at least once, but still came to the Crimea. Yes, and since childhood, I spent all summer in the Crimea. ON THE SUBK we know every pebble :). Only in Alupka rested 7 times. We stayed in different places, but the most comfortable for ourselves was the New microdistrict, a little remote from the center (near the san. Yuzhnoberezhny). In the evenings, we calmly walked to Vorontsovsky or Simeiz on foot (we are lovers of long walks, so it was not difficult to walk for 30-40 minutes, although minibuses go there for the "lazy" :). From here comes the knowledge of all the streets - houses - here we often rented the entire apartment on a turnkey basis.
But "turnkey room" means that just the owners in their house rent you one of the rooms, which is locked. Those. the owners themselves live in the same apartment (house), and one of the rooms is rented out to guests. At the same time, it is allowed to use the master's kitchen, etc. Those. just a room in the master's apartment (house). This year there are fewer people, so maybe you can rent the whole apartment cheaper

if a child has problems with the respiratory system, then you need to go to an average, temperate climate - to Feodosia, where mountain and steppe and sea air mix. It is not for nothing that the children's sanatorium "Volna" is in Feodosia. Yes, and housing is quite decent in Feodosia from $ 30 to $ 60.
I can offer a mini-hotel SMS-South (Fedko St. 1-B), to the sandy beach with a child 10 minutes (350m) walk. Meals on your own in a cafe 2 minutes walk - tasty and inexpensive.
аватар Pachok
Very bad advice - to take an unhealthy child to environmentally polluted Feodosia!

in this case, there are clear recommendations from doctors. Theodosius does not fit in there in any way. If there are problems with the lower respiratory organs (bronchitis-lungs-asmatics) - this is the South Coast (from Gurzuf to Foros, optimally - from Miskhor to Simeiz), if the upper respiratory tract (tonsilitics-laryngitis-adenoitics) - southwestern and western Crimea ( line beyond Sevastopol and to Sak-Evpatoria)
аватар marifeo
"Very bad advice - to take an unhealthy child to environmentally polluted Feodosia!" What is it that polluted the environment in Feodosia?)))
The fact that prices are lower than on the South Coast and go to the beach for 5-10 minutes?
аватар musja7
marifeo, the point is simply that you have your own commercial interest. But Theodosius is not suitable for the purpose of treating problematic issues of the organs of the lower and upper respiratory tract. It is good for general hardening purposes (just like any resort in the Kherson region or the same Odessa or Nikolaev region). No more. The climate in Feodosia is the same as in Simferopol (no one goes to Simferopol to heal a child). Well, about the environment, of course, this is not a metropolis. But you must admit that it is difficult to compare the healing air of the South Coast or even a number of other places in the western and the same eastern Crimea with industrial Feodosia (where factories, factories and a seaport are located)
аватар Pachok
marifeo, and the tank farm and the port have evaporated somewhere?
"Vera Voloshina" raised? Or maybe the sewerage was finally made normal so that half of the private houses would not crash into storm drains? Is tap water drinkable?
Of the Crimean "resorts" only Kerch is worse.
And with the South Coast in terms of climate, in general, it is silly to compare.
аватар marifeo
That's the sad thing, that they practically evaporated ((
On the South Coast, just, the climate is subtropical. When it was useful for children. But everyone has their own idea of usefulness. Good luck to all))
аватар Pachok
It is useful for children (and not only) to breathe phytoncides and swim in clean water.

This year we decided not to go to the Crimea by car.
All the information from this topic may come in handy next year. I hope by then it will be calmer...
In the meantime, we decided to go to Bulgaria: http://www.turpravda.ua/bg/question-45602.html
аватар Apyatka
Correctly decided. Let everything calm down.
аватар Isotope
Do not listen to those who write that you do not need to go to Crimea on Ukrainian license plates!!! This is complete nonsense! This year a lot of people have a rest from Ukraine! Everything is quiet and peaceful! The only drawback is that the beaches are very crowded and sometimes there is simply nowhere to lie down !!!
