Junior Suite
Tell me, please, did anyone live in a junior suite? Is it the same as on the website? How is the bathroom there? And it's scary to read reviews about standard rooms.

The standard rooms in the Intourist are very good, only small in size, take the standard-improved one, they have a renovated bathroom. Improved comfort - after renovation in 2010, even better, but they are on the 2nd floor (or 4th?), generally not high. There are 2 types of junior suites A and B. I advise you to take A - they have a sea view, the rooms themselves are normal, 2 bathrooms, bathrobes, slippers. I don't know who writes horror stories about standard rooms, the one who takes the "economy" standard? I can reset the standard-improved photo, we were in early March.

Try the Palmira Palace Hotel in Yalta

All standard rooms in the hotel - whether it's economy, standard, superior, comfort in area are the same -15 sq.m. We had a standard room - not economy, but did not match the photos at all! At least the junior suite has a large area. I think that this category of rooms should certainly be after renovation. Otherwise it's a complete scam.

I have a rest in this hotel every year, the standard rooms correspond to the photo and description. The main thing is not to take economy and standard. With new furniture and renovation - improved standard and "comfort" standard.

oksana.z, Could you send me a photo of the standard-improved one (including the bathroom, if any). I can drop my email. We are going to go there on our honeymoon trip, I would really like everything to be on top!
And I also heard that there are rooms of the same category, but located on different floors, have different repairs and the level of comfort of living. It's true? On which floor and on which side did you live?

Drop your email and I'll send a photo. First time I hear this. I know for sure that the standards and improved ones are the majority with a view of Yalta. Superior comfort - not high, 2nd or 4th floor. we wanted to take them, but refused, because I like to live higher :) And when are you going? Always sane staff at the check-in, write them a letter, ask for a higher room with a view of Yalta. And once again upon arrival, remind that the newlyweds. We usually immediately ask for a specific floor and side. They were always given, even during mass symposiums. Well, maybe +/- 1 floor, and then a couple of times it happened.

yak22, The cheapest room in Palmira Palace (Standard C) in high season costs 1,670 hryvnias (5,950 rubles at the current exchange rate) per night for two with breakfast. Compare the standard improved in Intourist - 1100 hryvnia (3900 rubles) when paying by card. I think the difference is in 2000. per day is obvious. And in 10 days it's already 20,000!!!

Palmira Palace compared to Yalta Intourist is very expensive (unjustifiably) the view is already blocking the house. The rooms have been certified after this circumstance, now taking a room with a sea view, you can see the house - a piece of the sea, at best a park-sea

Oksana Z, they are not always able to give you the number you need. I mean, if you come in May, or in August, then the hotel is full of people and there is no time to choose ... You even rejoice at what is left!

I always book and pay in advance. Because once I recommended my beloved Yalta to friends, a married couple, they didn’t book, they arrived, and they settled where it was ... But the cheapest room remained and overlooked the hozzona and that’s all there was! You know how they said "thank you" to me later ... So now I'm warning everyone!

So after all, I wrote that they would warn in advance which number they want. How little it happens. I was with a friend in 2009 in early October, we arrived without booking, and then the period of conferences and sports, the hall was buzzing. We are in shock, in a trembling voice we ask for 2 numbers, well, at least there are some, but if possible, higher and with a view of Yalta, the girl looks at the computer and gives out the keys. We are again in shock, the keys were given, and okay. We look at the cards - and there is the 10th floor, the room is improved and lo and behold! Yalta opens from the balcony. But! maybe we are so lucky :) Since then, I still worry about the room in advance.
