Who has already visited Bukovel this winter?
Question to those who have skied in Bukovel this year.
Interested in the condition of the tracks, the cost of a ski pass and the number of people on the lifts (whether there are large queues).

The trails are normal and well groomed. The snow was artificial, the weather after Christmas was unimportant, it was wet below, it was unpleasant to fall. Ski pass on weekdays-20 euros, daytime, evening skiing is paid extra. On the lifts in different ways, there are where there are very few people, there are queues. Most of the people are on the blue slopes.
On Buka everything is very expensive, to eat just like in Switzerland.
аватар jabetta
Well, yes ... Everything is like in our country: prices are European, salaries are African, service is primitive. But this is so, a lyrical digression.
Thanks for the answer. I heard that now there is a ski pass for several days, is that true?
аватар Tet.A_sv
Yes, I have. But I don't remember the prices. In general, we were "lucky", there were holiday tariffs and a ski pass for the day cost 377 UAH! There would be snow on Dragobrat, my feet, i.e. there would be no skiing on Buka!
Yes, 20s a day will be if you buy before 8:59, later it will be more expensive, somewhere around 25s.
аватар jabetta
Well, it's all! Outrage knows no bounds! 377 UAH - it's not 20 euros. Not... It's - to go nuts... It probably makes sense to "sharpen" skis in the Alps, in extreme cases, in the Tatras. Well, when will our prices begin to match the quality!?
аватар Tet.A_sv
377 - HOLIDAYS, cat. they had for some reason on the 11th. Weekdays 20-25, depending on the time of purchase.
The beech is definitely not worth the money you spend on it! I have my own accommodation in the Carpathians, they also took us to the ball, parking was free for us, we took food with us. If so, then no matter what! But pay for EVERYTHING?!
аватар jabetta
No no no! Thanks a lot for the info. Repelled every desire to go there even for a couple of days. I frankly do not like to overpay money for anything (I know what Bukovel is - it is not worth that kind of money). With such success, it is better to go to Slovakia, and if you throw a little more, then Austria will turn out.
Our country is unique! Crimea disperses everyone to Turkey, Egypt, etc., and the Carpathians - to Europe. It will soon be cheaper to fly to Aspen than to fly there.
аватар Tet.A_sv
The ski pass is also expensive in Europe. BUT! I was most outraged by the prices for "meals", parking and other related services. For the money that a vacation in Bukovel costs, you can probably ride on your own in the Swiss Alps!
аватар jabetta
A ski pass in the Alps costs differently - from 170 to 235 euros (for 6 days). But keep in mind that these are completely different routes and the level of service. Although, to be honest, in Slovakia a ski pass for the same 6 days costs 155 euros and this is also a different story compared to our Bukovel. And I have been monitoring ski prices for many years and I can confidently say that for such money, as Bukovel now offers, you can quite find a holiday with skiing in Europe. The only thing that is easier here is not to bother with a visa, but, believe me, in the end, it's worth it.

I don’t understand why go on holidays to Bukovel. The prices are cosmic, the people are unmeasured. What prevents you from buying promotional subscriptions in advance for half the price? They are valid for 4 years. back on your own transport. The price includes 2 meals a day. You can only have a snack on the hill. All information on ski passes and the condition of the slopes is on the Bukovel website.

On the Bukovel website, the webcams are installed very cleverly, they are mostly TOP! You look, everything seems to be fine, but in fact, at a positive temperature, "porridge"!
аватар Yuliya_U
I didn’t mean webcams, but a forum where there is up-to-date information about the state of the tracks. Porridge, if it happens, is after lunch, and not on all tracks. On 13 tracks last year in April, you could normally ride all day. And 8s always hold up well. By the way, artificial snow melts much slower than natural snow.
аватар Tet.A_sv
How to make a normal track from porridge at a positive temperature ??? I don't know what happened on Buka in April last year, but I know that after Christmas this year it was very uncomfortable to ride there.
And even though artificial snow does not melt at all, it is very far from the present! Go at least once in the SNOW to Dragobrat, ride on the "virgin lands" and you yourself will see the DIFFERENCE!
аватар Yuliya_U
And how do they make a normal track out of porridge in the Alps? I will definitely go to Dragobrat when there is snow.
And in Bukovel, I don’t feel comfortable riding only in the rain. Why should we argue with you? Everyone rides where he likes. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.
аватар Tet.A_sv
It's just that there is such a thing as "heavy snow", artificial snow, by definition, is "heavy". Nobody argues, you can ride it, but it is very far from real, light, airy, soft!
аватар Yuliya_U
So I am also for real snow. I remember the February and March snowfalls of 2009. That was skiing! But last year's winter did not please with snow. Even on Dragobrat there was little snow ever. So thank God that there is frost and snow cannons, and you can ride on artificial snow, even if it is heavy.

I'd rather go here!
It’s just that Bukovel didn’t suit me, neither this year, nor a couple of years ago ...

To Tet.A_sv: I read the forum at the link. My girlfriend, a Muscovite, went to Elbrus a few years ago and was very dissatisfied. He says the trip became golden, and the conditions of skiing did not justify the costs.
аватар Tet.A_sv
I also heard very conflicting reviews about skiing in the Elbrus region. Perhaps in view of the upcoming Olympiad, something has changed for the better there. In principle, the indicated price is 700 dollars. given that everything is included in it, incl. and a ski pass like "golden" is not. Perhaps this is the place that you need to personally try "on the tooth." But I only heard about Gudauri "AH!", but they say there hasn't been snow there yet...
аватар jabetta
700 dollars per person + food, etc. Slovakia comes out for the same amount, for such a number of tracks as in the Elbrus region, it's a little expensive, I think. Again, the trails are poorly looked after. And finally, such a road by bus is a little heavy. There are not enough trails in Georgia either. Of course, it is hard for them to compete with the Alps.
аватар Tet.A_sv
So in the same place the food is already INCLUDED, + the road, + all transfers!
аватар jabetta
Still, costs are inevitable. Have you considered trying this option?

I'm still looking. Usually we go skiing in February, for a week. What happened on the Christmas holidays, this is so, easy entertainment, do not sit near the stove all weekend!
Yes, the weather was VERY disappointing, as far as I can remember there was no snow on Draga. Even when it's completely bare down in Yasiny, there are two meters! So we think what to do???
аватар jabetta
I'm also looking at this stage. I began to tend to Bukovel, but the last infa repulsed any desire to go there. We rode there a few years ago and were disappointed. After Europe, there is not much pull.

We were in Buka on January 5-9, 2011. The first two days were frosty, the skiing was excellent. Then it went +, the snow was wet and heavy. Too many people. Prices 300 UAH. day skiing, if you buy a ski pass before 9-00. After Europe, you are disappointed in terms of service ...
аватар jabetta
marishka1: Thank you very much! You just confirmed my "research", my opinion is unshakable now - it's better to go to Europe.
аватар Yuliya_U
I was in Bukovel this weekend. On Saturday there was a plus, fog, drizzle. The snow was wet and bumpy, but at the same time quite fast. fresh snow, the sun was peeking out. It was very comfortable to ride. There are few people, there are practically no queues. There is enough snow on the slopes, except for a few sections rolled to the ground. We were satisfied with the trip. I wouldn’t ride either. But while Bukovel holds protests, we will go there. But we still can’t afford Europe.
