Hello! Please advise which resort is better to celebrate the New Year?
Young people are very fond of celebrating the New Year in different places. I would like to be in the Carpathians, among the snow-covered forest. Which resort is best for beginner skiers? Is there a resort with an ice skating rink?

In my opinion, there is not even any doubt that the best in terms of quality of rest, comfort and service is Bukovel. There are tarsses of different levels and two skating rinks. This resort is also famous for its prices, especially in winter, so renting a cottage or hotel rooms in Bukovel itself is simply unrealistic for the average Ukrainian. We lived in a private sector near Yaremche, and went skiing to Bukovel. It turns out much cheaper, and the quality of housing from the owners is at the same level as there, if not better. I can give you a phone number. hosts, if you're interested.

Ski resort Pylypets, 12 km from the railway station Volovets (Transcarpathian region). The main natural attractions are the Shypit waterfall, the Borzhava mountain valley (in particular, Mount Gemba, 1491 m.a.s.l.). Housing for every taste and opportunity - from the elite complex "Grand Hotel Pylypets" 4 stars (official site, rooms: http://grandhotelpylypets.com/rooms.aspx), mini-hotels to renting rooms from local residents. The resort has several types of ski lifts (including a track for beginners), equipment rental (skis, snowmobiles, snowboards, sleds), sauna / jacuzzi, billiards. A resort with a skating rink, for beginner skiers, among a snowy fairy tale, with human conditions and inexpensively - this is Zakopane, sorry :)

And I'm for Bukovel! Housing in Bukovel is cheap, but I will never "burn" it - you need it yourself ;-)
But their season tickets need to be bought only for promotions and only in summer ... In winter - very expensive ;-)
My husband has been riding for the 4th year on season tickets in 2008 - an increase in the price of a minibus ;-)
Living in the vicinity of Bukovel is a way out, especially if you have your own wheels. There is already a new road from the side of Yasinya - and housing has been "added" there - it is not yet as hyped as Tatarov or Yablunytsya.
I generally like Yasinya, near Bukovel and near Dragobrat. Just one ascent to the tract itself is already entertainment. There are never such problems with snow as in other "resorts". And the last winters were with such thaws that Buk could not shoot normally either ...
Yasinya is a very good option, it is better to choose a house on the highway, there are heaps of hotels.
There are other places, they are not so much cheaper, especially considering their quality (I'm talking about the ancient resorts such as Slavsky, Krasia, Pylypets, Podobovets). And do you know that we have a country such that a morally and technically obsolete structure made of a cable on supports with a screwed stick is called lifting. Examples are Ust-Chernaya (Yalynka), Podobovets (right yoke), Yasinya, Yablunytsya, Polytechnic University in Slavsky, etc.

Places that I liked (eternal newcomer): Slavske, but NOT TROSTYAN, but only Zakhar Berkut. Very convenient for beginners, but minus-long is not the newest, but the highest ;-) chair and some accommodation near the ski lifts.
Pylypets. I love Pylypets))) We have already written about him above - Shipot, Borzhava, you can "ride" to Synevyr. Izki is not very far from Pylypets. It's also like a resort. Pylypets is very convenient because there is a railway nearby. There is a tolerable chair, but the track is stupidly between its own supports and it is all in mounds (there is not so often high-quality natural snow). But there are three yokes-routes in a simpler way.
Of course, Polonyna Borzhava is there))) Only it makes sense to advertise it if none of the beginners go there, because it takes at least an hour to go to Gemba from the upper station of the chair. And in the winter it’s not at all to send tourists there !!!
There is also a very cool, but not a big resort, Plavia, by the way, not far from the Volovets railway, right on the Kyiv-Chop highway. It is very crowded on weekends, there are few rentals, the whole Lviv goes there, because it is close. The resort is not expensive (was what will be in 12/13, who knows). Very cool and modern. Husband called it mini-bukovel ;-)
Of the new or updated, friends singled out Migovo, Izki. But we haven't been there yet.
