We want to go on a 4-5 day tour: Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara. We plan from January 1 or 2. What is the temperature during the day? Is it raining? Pros/cons?

According to the locals, it snows even in winter in Tashkent. But the climate in Uzbekistan is sharply continental, there are no showers, although there may well be occasional rain and cloudiness.

Pluses - for excursions it will not be hot))). And there is something to keep warm there: from woolen socks bought at the market to hot words and even local wines and brandies.

I walked around in an autumn coat, unbuttoned and without a hat.

I also went in one blanket over a windbreaker in January in Tashkent))))

Ouch. I just noticed that my phone did autocorrect. Not a "hot word", but a "hot pilaf".)))

It doesn't rain in the desert of Tashkent on New Year's Eve - only snow.

Just arrived from Uzbekistan. Were in Samarkand - January 4, 2018 and January 5-6, 2018 in Bukhara. Maybe my comment will be useful to other tourists. It was raining and drizzling in Samarkand. There was snow on the grass. Temperature +3. By lunchtime it cleared up to +7, but not for long. We were lucky in Bukhara - there was sun through the clouds, about + 10. We were warmly dressed for walks - winter shoes, winter jackets, hats. In Bukhara in the afternoon - they walked without hats. Uzbekistan made a very strong and vivid impression on us - friendliness, cordiality, excellent service, excellent hotels and service! We recommend it to everyone - you won't regret it! (There is nothing to say about pilaf, lyulya, Bukhara tea and baklava - this is a holiday!))
