What is the weather like in August? Does it get cooler in the evening? Should I take an umbrella, does it rain?

August is the hottest month in Cyprus, and you need to be in good health to travel there during this time. There is no rain in August, during the day it is about +40, all vegetation burns out by this time. It is impossible to be outside from 10 am to 6 pm, and at night it is difficult to breathe due to high humidity. The Greek Cypriots themselves go on vacation en masse in August and leave the country.
Have a nice rest!

Izabella, August is indeed the hottest month in Cyprus, but I rested there in August, and everything was fine!!! The sea is very warm, we didn’t get out of the water (and I really like to swim for a long time, and not for a minute when it’s cool). During the day it is very hot, it saves shade and shops, but it does not bother !!! I was in the Sahara at +50 - nothing, everything is ok, the climate is dry, so it's all pretty calm. It gets cooler in the evening, if I may say so ))) - Shorts, skirts and T-shirts - that's evening outfits :) You don't need an umbrella at all)) Have a good rest! and don't be afraid of the heat - it's a vacation, the sea, the sun :)))))))))))
