Last year I was in Hurghada with my wife. We went to Luxor, to a paradise island and a jeep safari. I liked everything very much. In Luxor, take water, hats, it's very hot. Nature along the banks of the Nile - there is at least something to see, but back by bus through the Nubian desert. One thing is insulting - from my tour operator I went for $ 105, while the locals have the same trip costs $ 55. And also from your tour operator, expensive $ 100, but you could contact the same local ones. Cairo is interesting, but Luxor is better - more monuments, go closer.

On December 14, we went to Israel, though not from Hurghada, but from Sharm, and so: the hotel guide had a trip of $ 180 per person - in a street agency they bought the same trip for $ 180 for two. Everything is exactly the same: we were taken from the hotel, to the border the convoy was under armed guard (all bus tours in Egypt are guarded), the Egyptian-Israeli border was no problem, on the other side I met a Russian-speaking guide, wonderful excursions: Jerusalem-Bethlehem, dinner, delivered to border, again no problems and - "home", delivered to the doorstep of the hotel. Do not trust anyone that they can deceive or "throw" at all, feel free to hit the road. This is not the only tour that was taken on the "street", just the most impressive.
