How to enjoy the warmth and the sea, go on boat trips to El Gouna, ride quad bikes in the desert, and Cairo and Luxor have been standing for hundreds of years so that they will wait for your next visit.

I am also for you not to be upset. People go to Egypt for 1) sea, 2) sun, 3) corals, 4) fish, 5) pyramids, 6) Luxor, 7) Alexandria and so on. In any case, you won’t have time to do everything at once, right? So, make a plan from the points that are acceptable in the current situation, and on the next (and more than one) trip you will get what you did not have time to do on this one. Arabs don’t have to fight for a century, they’ll get tired))) - and you once! - and to the renewed Egypt on an excursion maybe something new will appear in the heads of the Arabs enlightened after the revolution))) Do not be discouraged, go for a portion of heat and sea !
P.S. Are you from Peter himself? Wonderful city :) Was this year during the white nights. And I also dreamed for a year! - I didn’t manage to go in the past. So, as you can see, dreams come true, if not today, then tomorrow :)

I completely agree with Biker_Oksana, well, you can’t go on vacation with such a mood, I went to Egypt four times and still there are places where I didn’t get, it’s impossible to come to this country once and see everything at once.

I, in turn, fully agree with Lina23S. I see no reason to be upset - the only thing to do is to rebuild plans, and that's it. As they say in chess, castling.

There are many places in Hurghada where you can go without Cairo. I recommend the coral reserve in Sharm el-Naga (20 km from Hurghada), the fish flaunt like in a theater, visit El Gouna, on Paradise Island, for history a little later when it settles down there.

I can reassure you that everything is calm at the resorts, but this does not mean that everything is calm everywhere. I would not recommend going towards Cairo (to Luxor). Browse through the list of excursions offered by local agencies (for example, Saif Tour, Marwan, Red Sea, etc.) and choose the most suitable one (my husband and I would prefer fishing with a boat trip on a yacht). If you want to take a walk outside the hotel, it is advisable to go with a company - it is safer that way. Stay positive and everything will be fine. Good luck!

everything is calm in hurghada, 15 returned. a lot of tourists from different countries, many excursions. Egyptian weddings, they even got to one, were received as dear guests.

Biker Oksana, I'm from St. Petersburg, Pushkin Thank you all for your answers. I agree that it is impossible to see everything at once in Egypt, in Turkey and in any other country. But Egypt without the pyramids and the Cairo Museum ... But hope dies last! Maybe the Arabs will settle down in 15 days of vacation and we will see everything! Thank you!

So don't go for the last time! :)
In any case - so that everything goes your way! :)

If you are still lucky, then the two-day Cairo + Alexandria is better, there are more impressions and you will be much less tired.

Excursions to Cairo and Luxor are quite heavy. Get up at 4-5 am. It takes 6-7 hours to travel by bus... Before that, everyone will be picked up at hotels (4-5-6...) In addition, in addition to interesting places, you will be taken to all sorts of sharashka shops... then the same amount of time back. You arrive in the middle of the night hungry and tired. The second day was a waste - to sleep off ... and the day passed. I have been to Egypt 3 times. The first time we went to Luxor ... we liked it, but the other two times we swam and went on short excursions. Never made it to Cairo. So don't regret anything. Good luck.

Elenica, you haven’t traveled to Abu Smbel yet, 1200 km there and the same amount back. Yes, I don’t argue hard, but how interesting, fatigue passes, and impressions remain for life.)))

Excursions to Luxor and Israel are very tiring, but impressions and emotions cover physical fatigue.

Lina23S, about 1200 km you got excited. From Hurghada to Abu Simbel 750-800. Considering that the first day you go only to Aswan (500 km), you spend the night in a hotel, and early in the morning in Abu Simbel, it’s not very tiring. Moreover, Abu Simbel is worth a look, yes, and Aswan is a great city.

turistman I am not a driver, the guide gave me these figures taking into account the entire route, and I am completely delighted with the tour.

Cairo today is painfully risky, believe me, your nerves are more expensive, although not seeing the pyramids while in Egypt is a sin! But Luxor is generally calm, you can safely go. Let me just remind you that the way to Cairo and back is a day, to Luxor too. So two days will take off exactly from the rest (after all, Cairo and Luxor are on opposite sides of Hurghada). And we must also remember that all excursions are very tiring, there is a lot of walking, so soberly assess the possibilities of the child and make the right decision!

Today from Hurghada. Excursions to Cairo are not cancelled. On the day of arrival, the guide said that there were six Teza buses in Cairo. I think Teztur would not take risks if there were security problems. They replaced only a visit to the Cairo Museum (it is just located on the square where the rallies are held) with some other sights. Luxor is also no problem. Buses are coming. They wanted to go Cairo-Alexandria - it was not possible. Teztur failed to recruit the minimum number of people.
Peace and order in Hurghada. The police are almost invisible, even less than in previous years. Tourists, however, are also few.
