It is safe to walk in the tourist part of Hurghada, but there is no where to walk. There are only shops with sooooo intrusive sellers. If you are alone, they will be even more intrusive. Not a foot in the old city!

Take a taxi to the Golden Five, drive 5-7 minutes. In the same parts there is Senzo Mall, this is a civilized shopping center, no one bothers there, naturally. Take a taxi for 10-15 minutes, it works until 10 pm. You can go to these places alone. In the old part of the city, it’s better not to go alone, and if you go, then in the afternoon, shops are all open from 17.
