We rested at the Desert Rose Resort in November of this year. There were no indoor pools in November and they were unlikely to be built in two months. It seems that there is a heated pool, I don’t know for sure, since we swam in the open sea. We didn't take the spa so I can't comment on that. We took a tour to Luxor. The tour agent promised three hours each way. Lied, of course. There the road took 5 hours with a half-hour stop for lunch/toilet. Back 4.5 hours with a 10 minute stop in the same place for the toilet. The toilet is paid, 2.5 Egyptian pounds or whatever currency you have. Opposite the hotel there is a fairly large cluster of small standard Egyptian shops where you can buy everything that is sold in such places, from fruits / teas / spices to towels, dresses, T-shirts.
