If you have not bought a tour yet, then look at something else. The hotel has too many minuses, which are described in detail in numerous reviews. Do not convince yourself that this is nitpicking, the hotel really does not even pull on a 4-ku. Sorry, but this is purely my opinion)))

I agree with the stars of the hotel. Four, no more. Not the first time in Hurghada. I was a little afraid of the quality of service in the restaurant: queues. I read the responses. I will say right away - there were no special queues. Those who live from breakfast to lunch (mostly Germans) rushed to the opening and created these notorious queues. But they could not guess that the restaurant had an additional hall and the same buffet. We always went to the additional room and there were no queues. There really are queues in the restaurant and the snack bar, but if you don’t run there right away, but come a little later, then there will be no queues, and there is enough food for everyone. It’s just that among the Slavs, Psheks and Germans there are individuals who are afraid that they won’t have enough pasta. Greed is an international concept. (The exception is tourists who have an excursion for a specific time and they have no choice, they need to have time to have breakfast).
There is nowhere to swim, only the lagoon is always muddy, it feels like you are swimming in a pool of sea water, and not in the sea, but on the other side there are corals, but you can go to the Old Vic - paid beach.
There really is not enough space in the lagoon, everyone is trying to lie down in the center - closer to the bar and restaurant, the convenient beach is sand, the coast smoothly goes into the water. I am always satisfied with the sea ..

The lagoon..the water is really muddy, but not dirty..be careful, don't swim up to the walls of the lagoon, cute sea urchins live there. Dive into the sea, there are a lot of fish, corals and the water is very clean.
That is, you mostly live near this puddle. And you can only see the sea nearby. It's only for heroes.
But if the weather is good and the wind subsides, then there is no price for this heavenly place. Others become available
beaches and areas where the wind used to be, but now it is not. On the outside of the hotel there is a long
beach lane. There are few people there, it is quiet, nice, there are no queues for booze. And near
queue puddles are guaranteed. Lie down, sunbathe, be lazy, drink. Swimming is problematic - very shallow, you go for a long time
aground no deeper than a meter, all around
echinoderms, sea anemones, and uncool little corals live quietly at the bottom. Without slippers it is better not to meddle. Foolishly injured on a hedgehog. I won't do it again.

I agree with the reviews. were in September last year. there were a lot of people, mostly hungry Poles, so there were big queues and there were no places in any room. There was a problem with fruit - there were practically none. Bartenders sell alcohol and therefore reluctantly pour it (on the beach). Lagoon - for swimming with children. on the other side of the hotel, there are corals. at low tide, shallow - up to the hips; at high tide, up to the chest. but there is also something to see. sunbeds must be borrowed until 8 in the morning, or even earlier at 17 you have to hand in towels. pretentious, you can go, and if there is a good hotel of the German system - Arabella. There is a better attitude towards tourists and in general.

El Palacio is actually 4 *, just some operators give it 5 * according to their system. I was in Egypt and in 5 *, and in 4 *, and in 3 *. You can put a solid four for the hotel. I have been to this hotel 2 times and would love to visit again. Everyone has their own opinion, but I like the hotel. It is better to settle in building number 5, on the first floor. When I rested, the water in the lagoon was clear. I liked the beach, we could find free sunbeds at any time. We really liked the beach where the lagoon is, there is a small (so to speak) island, it just turns out between the right and left sides of the lagoon. I sent tourists to this hotel, they also really liked it, they arrived positively. The Arabella Hotel is recommended here. This is a solid 5 *, the level of service is higher, but the price is higher. These are hotels of different categories, so they should not be compared.
