There are 5 hotels in the lagoon on the first line: by budget (from smaller to more expensive): Hilton Sharks Bay 4*, Savita 5*, Sunrise Island View 5*, Concord Front 5*, Savoy 5*. Prices: from $1,000 for two per week to $4,000 (prices vary depending on the time of year, tour duration, type of food and rooms). Soho Square is located next to these hotels (it seems to be built at the expense of Savoy, but all tourists from the first and second lines walk along it and relax for free). Soho is the only ice rink and bar in Egypt!, "singing fountains" and a lot of "European" shops. Yes, the price in them is slightly higher than in the Old Market (analogous to our clothing market, 12 km from the bay - $ 10-15 round trip by taxi, by minibus - cheaper). But the reef in the bay is one of the best in SHES, and there is no strong undercurrent and waves in this bay, unlike Nabq Bay, where 50% of Sharm hotels are located (for the first time tourists traveling to Sharm very often fall for this "bait" ). If you have a soul for Hurghada and need a not very expensive hotel, I can recommend the King Tut 4 * and Sphinx 5 * complex, they are under one owner, as I already wrote, a compact area, good food, and most importantly, what are you looking for, a shallow lagoon for children, fenced by a coral reef, the entrance to the reef is nearby (not from the pontoon, but from the steps on the beach) and a good living world on corals. The beach is sandy. Read my reviews about King Tut. I have been there twice.
