You probably wanted to Abu Simbel.
Here's the thing - you will arrive in Aswan, you need an overnight stay, in the morning 300 km through the desert, a couple of hours in the temple, then back.
Basically real.
You need to get to Luxor, for example, on the Go bus.

I'm not in Hurghada, but I recommend Aswan. Take a look at the hydroelectric power station, go up to the observation deck, go to the Nubian Museum, ride on the island of Fila and climb the temples.

You will hardly find like-minded people here. This is for you on the forums of independent travelers.
From Hurghada to Aswan by land 500 km.
At one time (resting in Marsa Alam) I tried to find like-minded people on the trip Aswan - Abu Simbel (here and on other forums). To no avail. In the end, I found it on the spot and was very satisfied.

And I took a tour of the Nile. 3 days on the ship, with bass, food, luxurious cabin and all excursions. I gave around 600 ye for three. But that was 2 years ago. We got back by train, I was pleasantly impressed, it was also included.

They say, who went on their own, that in Abu Simbel - hotels are expensive, as for Egypt, the cheapest option is about 3000 UAH per night, and the quality is not ice. Who is in the know? So far, I'm just thinking about a similar route, perhaps after traveling along the Nile by boat, I'm ripe for the TS route.

Well, what kind of hotels can there be in Abu Simbel?))) Definitely not Savoy), although in Aswan I saw a very decent 5 Movenpick. Itresno, who is resting there)

Sofitel in Aswan is very good. Rooms in Sofitel and Movenpick are not that expensive. The problem is that they sell out quickly, you need to plan ahead. We tried to book the day before, there was nothing, we had to take a shabby hotel purely for the sake of an overnight stay, not for pleasure. But all this was in pre-pandemic times, it is very likely that now the demand for decent hotels in Aswan is much less due to a drop in the overall tourist flow.
