Don't be afraid, my neighbor, who doesn't even know how to ride a bicycle, was resting with me. And she drove over bumps at 70 km per hour, I could barely keep up with her (it hurts the back seat when you drive fast). The tour is interesting, it is held in Hurghada after 14.00, and in Sharm, too, probably. Visit a boudouin settlement (improvised). get acquainted with the way of life, folklore, take a ride on camels, treat you to dinner, moonshine. hookah, Watch the sunset (very beautiful). You will return back in the headlights (this is 20 km). You have time for dinner. Stock up on comfortable shoes (slates can be lost), headwear and glasses. The tour is filmed, you can buy a disc.

We rode quad bikes, only in Sharm. I liked it very much. Experienced people advised to take individual ATVs. My husband and I paid extra $10. for two. And they didn't regret it one bit. A sea of drive and adrenaline. Ind. is the two of us and the instructor. They drove at top speed, it was breathtaking. It's a pity that ATVs don't have a speedometer. But I think somewhere 100-120 km. per hour on level ground. Those who took a group trip with envy (so it seemed to us) looked after us. Dragging a caravan of 8-10 quads in the dust at a speed of 15 km per hour with children, grandmothers, etc.. Thrown out money. It is easy to ride on flat terrain, but it is a bit difficult for a woman to jump and hold the steering wheel on the dunes. My hands hurt after everything. Enjoyed the evening ride. A sunset in the desert is something. They refused the Bedouins. We thought that it would be better to drive the declared time more. There are a lot of impressions. I want more.

rostova, I understand that when you see the road under you, it seems that you are flying. Only according to the passport, the ATV on average does not exceed the speed of 55-65 km / h)))

I don’t know what other ATVs get, but I got a very big one! For the first minutes of the journey, it seemed to me that it was not I who controlled him, but he controlled me! (Moreover, I am a driver with 15 years of experience, however, I have never ridden a motorcycle). But then "caught the rhythm" and forward! An instructor drove back and forth along the entire column, asking those who were lagging behind, "finish?" Some who found it difficult to ride simply got on the quad with the instructor, leaving theirs in the desert. I would not say that the convoy was moving slowly, everyone put pressure on the gas and still managed to arrange races. Our trip started in the afternoon and ended in the dark. Included: quad biking (20 min. one way and back), horseback riding, camel riding, buggy riding (on a circular track), visiting an ostrich farm. Then we transferred to zhdipy and went to the Bedouin village. Impressions are not so hot, everything is like in a museum. We returned to the town where it all began, when it was already dark. We were waiting for dinner, performance (fakir show with snakes, dancing, etc.) We returned to the hotel at 12 pm. I can’t say that I liked everything super, but the impressions remained. It's worth a trip (were in Hurghada).

Thank you very much for your answers. I myself am also a driver with 10 years of experience. I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life. Let's try!

Phansoft, I completely agree with you. And although I have been driving a car since 1991, I could not determine the speed on an ATV. Moreover, as I already wrote, for some reason they don’t have speedometers. And when you fly through the desert, tears rolled even from under your glasses, it seemed to me that the speed was hoo. We talked, remembered, at least get going to Egypt again.

Yes, I would like to add. The tour was from 16-00 to 18-00. Net time we ran into about 1.5 hours. Although they flew by unnoticed.

I agree with rostova, you only need an individual check-in on quadrics. This is a drive in the blood and complete freedom, and not a column of sluggish ATVs. But for a complete buzz, do not refuse camel riding with Bedouins and their tea. Have a good rest!!!

We rode in Hurghada on the morning "check-in". I think it was a very good time, because. it only started to fry on the way back, and we went there, long sleeves, the arafatka and trousers did not strain. I don’t agree about the sluggish ATVs - we rushed at a decent speed, and the laggards were constantly urged on. camels, Bedouins, etc., and from riding an ATV: an hour there and an hour back along the "washboard" with hillocks.

Isn't it very difficult to manage?

The principle is simple: step on the gas, or use the handbrake on the steering wheel, that's all! Just a fragile woman, and not fragile, however, too, the ATV will definitely seem like a "steel monster", heavy and clumsy. We were immediately seated and given the command to go ahead. And it would be nice to try at least a little "on the spot". At first it was scary for me, I don’t consider myself to be an extreme sports enthusiast. Yes, and there are many cases of injuries during such excursions. I can say that at the end of the trip I sighed with obvious relief that everything ended successfully.

And we went on some kind of combined safari - jeeps, quads, camels, a Bedouin village. well nothing like that.

We went on a motorcycle safari: like a shortened program, from morning until lunch, without lunch with the Bedouins and without jeeps, without buggies. We were already at home for lunch, but we didn’t pay for it accordingly.
Before we were “released”, we were driven in circles for half an hour, revealing who could not control the quad by himself. So several people were transplanted, either with an instructor or with a husband. For example, my son (14 years old) in Russia freely drives a quad on rough terrain, unable to cross the desert-relief is very difficult.
It’s hard not to drive, you go mostly forward, but keep the steering wheel at such a speed along such a comb and at the same time constantly press your finger on the gas. Your finger stupidly refuses to obey.

On our last trip to Hurghada we took a motorcycle safari. I am young (33 years old) small (1.6 m. weight 45 kg.) I have no driving experience. She sat down and drove off, and her daughter sat down with me, and not with her husband. But we went on a group tour and I think if you are sitting on a quadric for the first time, then an individual trip, in general, is not needed. Especially if you choose the second half of the day, then you will have to return back at 9:90 - 10:00 pm, and it is already very dark and there is only headlights ahead. Even my husband (an experienced driver) thought it was exciting. And the finger that presses on the gas really gets tired and for some reason the right hand always pulled to turn to the right :) The conclusion is nothing complicated - you can handle it, but it may not be worth taking an individual tour for the first time. Better with feeling, longing, arrangement for the first time to find out what it is, and the next time already individually
