11 days is the most. And in the sun you will have time, and on excursions. I also went to Hurghada for 11 days in winter. I share where I was (after much thought, why grab such an interesting and "emotion-generating"):
1.Cairo and pyramids (to be in Egypt and not to see them-- nuuuuuuuuuuu... :) );
2. Luxor (a 1-day trip was enough, but there is an excursion for 2 days - you choose, but they say that 1-day trip is enough, the next day it gets boring);
3. jeep safari in the Arabian desert with a visit to a Bedouin village (there are different, as it were, "packages" for different prices - with and without ATVs included). The Turkish jeep safari was more fun for me - a caravan of open jeeps, driving through the mountains with whistling and whooping, dousing, laughing. But Egyptian quad bikes in the desert are more interesting. I didn't go for extra pay to the terrarium in the Bedouin village - poor and dirty. Insist on being shown the starry sky through a telescope!! (included in the program). And not like we did - they were taken out on the road back to the night desert, released and said: "Here is a natural telescope for you, admire the stars." It was cool though ;)

4. "A Thousand and One Nights" is very poor in comparison with the "Turkish Night" (naturally, in Turkey). 2 parts: the first - sit in the amphitheater, they show you a performance on the history of Egypt, a commentary in English (I speak English perfectly, but then they muttered to themselves somewhere in the neckline that I did not understand anything), the second - a concert in hall. What delighted me was the belly dance and the dance of a man in skirts, circling around himself for 14 minutes and demonstrating the history of Egypt's development in the dance (2nd part). The second time I would not go to the "Night", so, I noted - except that the belly dance and these skirts were GORGEOUS.

5. The most indisputable Grand Prix - sinking on the submarine "Sinbad" in the Red Sea to a depth of 22 meters. The most vivid impressions I brought from Egypt!!! No matter how much I review videos and photos - a huge portion of endorphins thumps in the blood with pleasure! And this is six months after the trip! In Hurghada there will be a choice of all kinds of boats with a transparent bottom - but "Sinbad" is a submarine (the only one there). The most expensive of the "boat" excursions, but the most exciting - save on something else, and "dive"! And this is not just a dive - first we visited the museum of the underwater world, and then we were taken to the open sea for another half an hour to a special platform, while we waited on our boat - the sailors arranged such dances for us))) In short, +100 for "Sinbad "!

And we also got an unexpected elective - we became friends with the already senior waiter from the hotel restaurant, he invited us to visit, his wife and a bunch of children looked out for several days when we would come))) We saw REAL life, not embellished and not stylized for the needs of tourists, the REAL life of an Egyptian family. Of course, if such a chance comes up - be careful, but everyone in the hotel knew where we were going, + in a week of communication they already knew a little about a person, it is unlikely that he, who feeds about a dozen people, would risk his job for something dubiously bad . Locals often invite guests - they themselves say that it is an honor to see "whites" in the house. In short, filter and analyze!

I didn’t go shopping, it’s not interesting. There were discos in the hotel (I rested in Sand Beach), but I rarely wandered there - I didn’t have the strength))), it’s not interesting to jump until night, and go on an excursion at night already). Naturally, visit the old city in Hurghada, the AUTHENTIC bazaar, where the locals themselves shop (I slipped on a banana peel there for the first time in my life, photographing children sitting in the dust))), local "gendelyks" (in the best sense) - it's cool there are preparing. Yes, I also tried diving - it was free in our hotel. I swallowed water))) - this is not for me, I just put a "tick")))
It is better to go to the holy places of the Promised Land from Sharm - closer, therefore, cheaper. The next time, having gone to Egypt, I would also visit Alexandria and Abu Simbel - and in Egypt, as for me, there is nothing more to see besides everything described (I'm talking about excursions).
Don't forget to bring home local sweets-- at home they will acquire a special value, you will understand when you miss old Hurghada ;)
аватар Biker_Oksana
From "do not forget" - an additional battery for the camera and a larger memory card) I took 16 gigabytes - I brought home almost clogged (video footage of the underwater world from the Sinbad is worth something, you shoot - and you forget about real time, but free space on the card imperceptibly dries up).
Yes!! And do not be afraid of the locals - with the right behavior, they will understand your friendliness and, instead of selling goods, they will simply start talking with you - and this is a separate "interesting" in Hurghada (but only in the Old City - in the new part of the city, Arab merchants VERY shameless, behave with a challenge).
It seems that's all, I have fulfilled my civic duty to you;) Find me on "Odnoklassniki" (Biker Lady, Kyiv) - look at the photos, rate the excursions.
Unsubscribe upon your return :)) Do not show your eyes without visiting "Sinbad"! :)))))

Everything is fine! Just remember that this is July, not winter, and it will be a little hot, so there will be less desert and more sea and boat trips. If you are snorkeling, then diving near the reefs will be more fun than any submarine. boat trips to El Gouna (Egyptian Venice), Paradise Island, I was crazy about a trip to Sharm el Naga. This is a coral reserve where fearless fish dance around you. a surrogate in the form of "Sinbad" will do. And do not forget that it is hot there now, do not get carried away with trips to the desert.

And also click here - Egypt, Hurghada. Read where there is something, then go to Google, type Hurghada - also read, there will be a sea of u200bu200band information and also in U-Tube, watch another video there, and with skill, go ahead. envy!

that's for sure, in the summer in the same Luxor - it's suicide :)))
The pyramids can still be tolerated, there are only poor tourists there for an hour at most, they do not have time to see anything.
well, diving with a boat - money down the drain. you need to do diving, first take the inside, and then if you want to dive more.
аватар Biker_Oksana
A submarine is a whole performance with a bonus in the form of a museum, a walk on a ship and dancing with sailors like a party on the lower deck on the Titanic, and diving is a one-man theater;) And you can’t dive 22 meters under water;) Still, the feeling that you are on a submarine is simply unique. If possible, I would recommend both - "All is well!" (c) That's just a diver with me turned out to be no)))
Yes, Alex, you are absolutely right about the heat - I was just describing my Hurghada practice. Maybe a person has completely different priorities - I, having promised passive rest to my exhausted body, nevertheless, was looking for a drive.
Annette, you are right! If the strategic plans include a return trip to Egypt, then it is better to wait with the pyramids. But if in a deep principle - to be in Egi and not see his symbol... ;)
asti1511, good luck!

what are you talking about "diving - the theater of one actor" garbage breccia!
diving is no match for a boat full of stupid tourists pointing their fingers at the smudged glass.
when diving, a real underwater world opens up, with the opportunity to see living creatures at a depth that you simply won’t notice from a boat. plus an experienced badi (partner-instructor) diving in pairs will show a lot of interesting things.
Everyone has their own principles, I saw the pyramid on my third trip to Egypt. and gladly did it without the participation of the tour operator.

The coolest time in Hurghada is from the beginning of April to the beginning of May - there is no cake yet and the water is normal, and the wind season is over. We were from March 27 to April 4, the temperature was +29, the water was really +18, and there was still a breeze, but when we taxied back we realized that it would be more interesting from April 4 - the temperature is the same, but the breeze is light and the water warmed up.

------
Wow... I don't agree. Unobjective opinion. Among the "stupid tourists" and a couple of professors was - I, for example, far from stupidity to them. And you? Probably, just as diving should not be compared with a submarine, so you should not be compared with tourist professors - somehow incorrect ... Yes, and thanks for the "garbage")
And I also correspond with the smartest doctor who has traveled half the world and at the same time believes that, without offense to tourists, holidays in Arab countries are crap and a surrogate for holidays, and those who have a rest there are forced to go there because of poverty and almost rogue (at what, the doctor is not trying to offend anyone, he himself emphasizes this). So, according to his words, you and I, Anette, are rogue)
аватар Anetka-gan
objective opinion, traveled-seen-talked. often the presence of a doctorate does not confirm the presence of life experience and an adequate mind. influences "narrowness".
your "doctor" looks more like a snob than an adequate traveler. using "mattress tours" (c) from TO and anyone can visit half the world. and boasting of this more ascribes himself to the "rogue".
If I were you, I would stop reading such an incompetent person, and would switch, for example, to the Saparovs. People who treat all places with respect, including Arab countries. In addition, your "doctor" is clearly not aware of how you can "beggar" in the Arab countries. I sympathize with him!
аватар Biker_Oksana
This doctor is a surgeon, lives in the States and earns so much that you and I never dreamed of, therefore "mattress" tours are not about him))) By the way, many envy him)) And it is incorrect to judge a person by preferences in excursions. Especially about the influence of the traveler's experience on the adequacy of the mind and personal values.
I agree with you to some extent. But regarding the submarine, I insist: the opinion "money down the drain" is subjective, yours personally. If this boat brought me so much joy - how can money be thrown away? And if others liked it - is that all stupid? Money down the drain is when I go to a performance about the history of Egypt, and there I see a performance with the participation of horsemen under ... "Kalinka-Malinka". I understand that there are a lot of Russian tourists in Egypt, and I would like to please them. But why do I need "Kalinka-malinka" in Egypt? As well as I would have grimaced at the presence of "Gopak" in the program.
I consider disputes about what kind of rest is CORRECT unreasonable. If someone liked some kind of entertainment, this does not mean that my brain will accept it in the same perspective. There are NO absolute know-it-alls and gurus in this matter. I stop, I conveyed to the person what I wanted to convey - HE will analyze and choose.
аватар Anetka-gan
you made my day! )))))))))))

"I agree with you to some extent. But regarding the submarine, I insist: the opinion "money down the drain" is subjective, yours personally. If this boat has brought me so much joy, how can money be thrown away?"
Biker_Oksana, as soon as you, at least once, descend into the Red (beloved by me) Sea with scuba gear, or, simply by putting on a mask and fins, you will immediately be convinced that, after all, the money was thrown to the wind. And you don’t need to focus on professors at all - they either have grief from the mind, or - on the contrary (we know such a "professor").
In essence, the main thing is to look under the water, in any way. Because to visit Egypt and not see its main asset is not excusable.
аватар alex45
Well, of course, the fish behind the glass is a theater, and the fish around you are life and there can be no comparison. she put on a mask and didn’t even go to the waist yet, and the kilogram Picasso (if it says something to someone) decided to get acquainted with her, it was a thrill for her. And dancing, like on the Sinbad pier, every day I I saw the discotheque, the animators tried. And about the surgeons, the question is not at all on the topic.
аватар asti1511
And how much does an excursion on the Sinbad submarine cost?
And also how much does scuba diving cost?
And how far is Sharm El Naga from Hurghada?
аватар alex45
Sharm el-Naga is located about 20 km along the coast south of Hurghada in the Soma Bay area. I don’t know the cost of excursions this year, because. I haven't been to Egypt this year.
аватар SunSetSafari
Indeed, Sharm el Naga is a wonderful place for snorkeling! Living unbroken corals and their numerous inhabitants, and it all starts right at the shore. The cost of Sharm El Naga is $28 and $15 for children under 12 years old.
Sinbad costs 50 and children 25 (for a group of 3 people we make a discount on the excursion) Diving 30.

"Sinbad" - bargained for 45 in a street agency. If a couple - the more you can bargain.
аватар irishka82
This is a good price, back in 2007 the guide had 45 in the hotel, in the agency 35. Opposite the Sultan Beach hotel, a little to the left across the road there is the OrbitTour agency, I think you can go there for 40, there prices were always lower than in other street agencies.
аватар Biker_Oksana
All excursions (including Sinbad), which I went to with a street agency in Hurghada, I bought from the agency, which was located immediately near our hotel "Sand Beach" (on the right, when viewed from the street) - I forgot the name ... True, they are not very willing to make discounts, but I have never had troubles with them - and I have never heard that they deceived someone or ruined the organization of the excursion. For example, I went to "1000 and 1 night", but from "that district" there were not enough tourists for the bus - so they did not cancel the trip, but took me in a passenger car - it was nice. The Arab boy (driver), a little worried about his already very mediocre English, showed everything and told me on the way back - it was thanks to him that I saw the place from which Hurghada began. They communicate simply, as if they have known you for a hundred years, they inform you well, but they don’t obsessively get on your head with their service. In short, it's ok. A Muscovite is still working there - very attentive to tourists.
аватар alex45
Class-information! What kind of street, where is this agency with a Muscovite?
аватар Biker_Oksana
I called the hotel, the agency immediately to the right of it, wall to wall. It's easy to understand, Alex
аватар Biker_Oksana
Located on El Comich St.
)))))))))
аватар SunSetSafari
irishka82 OrbitTour has already closed. And prices have changed since 2007, as well as in Russia.
аватар irishka82

аватар SunSetSafari
