Not a secret. I have been flying to the Sunrise Crystal Bay Hotel for 3 years in a row, a very good hotel. all my friends liked it. Last year we had a company of 21 people. So everyone is excited. I have been flying to Hurghada for 10 years, I have seen many hotels and I can compare price and quality.

As far as I understand, lisntvuch, you have been relaxing in another hotel for three years already. When I was going to go to LillyLand, I also looked at reviews about it, and not on one of the sites (by the way, I am not new to Hurghada either).
And then I noticed that the bad reviews about this hotel are old, and the last ones are very good. And I also visited Lilliland in January (there is a report about it here with a photo). The only reason I lowered my rating is because the building in which we lived is already in need of repair (cosmetic or already ongoing), but it is underway, something is being painted, greased, the entrance and the alley of Karnatic sheep are being restored, they are building another pool. But the rest is above the level of the average four in Hurghada. This is a huge beach where children can swim, there are coral reefs with wildlife for snorkelers (no need to go to all sorts of Paradise Islands). Agree that in most of the hotels in Hurghada there are no reefs on the beach. The territory is very well-groomed, even licked. The food is above the average Hurghada level.

Yes, about the wind! This, as I understand it, is an unpredictable thing, but ... as a rule, winds from the desert in Hurghada until the end of March. And yet in 09 and this year I did not experience them (I was from 15.01 to 22.01). This is rather anomalous, but when you are preparing for the trip, look for hotels where the beach will be sheltered either by a building or a slope to the beach.

I agree with you alex45 that you can relax in one hotel in the summer, and in the spring in another. And in the year a true story a couple of times in Hurghada. In the summer I choose one hotel, and on May or New Years another, so I can compare.

In the summer I don’t go to Hurghada, there are other countries for recreation (Spain, Italy for example). The Red Sea is winter, when during the period of frost you want to bask in the sun, swim among the reefs, the Maldives is far and expensive, and Egypt is just that!
