Carribian World Resort 5* in Soma Bay. Very good hotel with a bay and a gentle entrance to the sea.

On the mainland, see hotels in Makadi Bay.
Especially the northern part of the bay.
Sunrise, Ford Arabesque, Grand Makadi. Other.

Fort Arabesque. If without children Makadi Spa

The Grand Macadi is already on the airflow. Palace is the last in a series of windless ones. But both don't fit into the "good" category anymore.

There is also a pretty-looking (at least on Google maps) Sunwing Waterworld Makadi.
Joynes sell it.
But I have no idea what quality it is.

Thank you all for your replies, I will now read the reviews of the proposed hotels

Makadi Palace and Grand Makadi have one beach, how is one windless, the other is not?
It blows decently in this complex even in summer - autumn (including in the mentioned Sunving and Makadi SPA), in fact it is one large hotel, with a common beach, blown evenly.
More quiet at Sunrise Royal Makadi. And another decent winter option in Sahl Hasheesh - Pyramisa.

Chukchi reader? (c) "how is one windless, the other is not?" The length of the redsey coastline is one and a half km, the beaches are different for everyone. The first three redsishers (Sunwing, Femeli, SPA) are best protected, the beaches are gentle, calm, the sea is shallow, coral warm. Palace is "around the corner", it is already blowing, but the hulls and vegetation are still protecting, the sea is far from languid. But the Grand is on the outskirts, behind it is the desert. On the beach it blows, on the pier it finally blows. The Grand and Palace were decent expensive hotels, but that was a long time ago and not true
Bald Sunrise with short hulls is much more windy than wild redfish (the exception is the beach). Even neighboring Arabesques are much calmer due to vegetation and large buildings. And there is also a large-scale renovation in Sunrise, and therefore it does not fit into the "good 5s"
Makadi SPA is a fresh hotel built by a well and being intimate, it is very comfortable for winter. So, the most worthy for the winter are Fort Arabesque, Makadi Spa, I’ll add Palm Soma Bay

Just not a reader, but a practitioner. I am writing from my own experience of visiting Red Sea hotels, both at work (in info tours), current and on vacation, in particular, I rested in Sunving. Somehow I did not notice any particular difference in the ventilation of the hotels of this complex. If it was blowing, then it was blowing everywhere. With a strong wind on the palm alley, which runs along all the hotels in the complex, the palm trees "bent" equally evenly.
And how would the influence of the winds mainly matters for the beach (comfortable swimming, waves). It's just that Makadi SPA as such does not have its own beach. Opposite it, near the shore, there is a plate, without the possibility of entering the sea. For the guests of this hotel there is a corner at the beginning of Sanvinga beach. I was always surprised by this small paradox - a hotel for adults (16+), and a beach for a children's hotel))

What can you say about Citadel Azur 5*?

"I was always surprised by this small paradox - a hotel for adults (16+), and a beach for a children's hotel))" As they say, meeting the wishes of workers (Europeans). They have their own beach and they even drive the Sunwingers, but it is frankly wretched and always empty ... but the bassists are crowded. They promise to bring the entrance-beach to mind soon, but in the Palace they also promised a pier "tomorrow", but they did it in 5 years. Therefore, the SPA no longer pulls, although the hotel is very decent. It's strange that you get less wind in an open area than in a planted-fenced area, although Sunwing is the most bare and weakest radish
"What can you say about Citadel Azur 5*?" From December to April, absolutely not, the hotel is on the wind rose. It was just a phenomenal hotel ... but even such a colossus was killed ... and the food is already frankly weak, alas

"Carribian World Resort 5* in Soma Bay."
Soma Bay is considered one of the most windy.
But Makadi Bay is really one of the calm, but there will be no complete calm, as in Sharm El Faraan Bay.
Sunwing Waterworld Makadi is the best thing about this bay.
Citadel Azur 5 * - an eco-hotel made of shell rock, hull, wind protection can only be behind the building itself. The beach does not protect anything from the wind.
To be afraid of the wind in winter - do not rest in Egypt.

Coral beach in Hurghada
Soma Bay for surfers

Coral Beach is not bad (I wrote reviews about the rest in it), but there is another option (from personal experience), where the beaches are, as it were, in a gorge between the mountains and there is no wind blowing there (although you can feel the wind while going down the stairs) This is Al Nabila Grand Bay Hotel Resort & Spa 5*
