I would not go to Cairo in the summer, and even more so with a child. We went to Cairo at the end of September, sooooo hot, tiring. Swollen from heat and long sitting, although not prone to swelling. I concluded that the best time to visit Cairo is in winter.

You can even sit under two sheds, but there is the concept of heat stroke. June is very hot. Near the sea the breeze blows - it will be more pleasant. The main thing is to make sure you don't burn out. Protective cream at least 50. Territory - a huge red-hot, very little greenery, although well-groomed. Far from the sea - and it's all over hot cement - unpleasant. And of course in June to the pyramids or to Luxor - this is horror.
