Trip to Israel
I know they offer a day trip
Jerusalem (Israel) from 21:00 to 01:00
swimming in the Dead Sea, Wailing Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Church of the Nativity of Christ, room of the Last Supper, etc. Lunch. for 130
and Israel (Jerusalem + Nazareth) 2 days for 240
How tiring trips are with such a short time and high saturation.
I would like to see a friend there whom I have not seen for 15 years - will we have time or will the meeting take place on the go?
Thanks

The most tiring thing is the bus ride itself. Don't forget to bring pillows with you on the bus.
Those who want to see friends, as a rule, agree with the guide about the meeting point and go about their business. Accordingly, the tour itself is neither seen nor heard. You don't spend much time directly in Jerusalem. And a new nuance, you may no longer be taken to Bethlehem to the Church of the Nativity. Bethlehem is the Palestinian Authority

You can also stand in line at the Israeli border all night.
And you may not be in time for the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, because it closes at 19-00, and before that you can be kept in a souvenir shop for a long time.
But I hope it's just us so unlucky :(

The tour is rich, very interesting, but also tiring ... If you want to see a friend, then you will have to skip everything :(, because everything happens quickly, the guide tries to be in time for "his" souvenir shops (((On the border, indeed, you can linger , then all the listed sights with an overview ... You can separate from the tour by discussing the time and place of the meeting in advance (very specifically !!!), transfer to a friend's car and, while talking, see everything, bypassing souvenir shops)))

very tiring. arrived at the hotel and fell without legs! Slept 12 hours in a row!

We were there in December, we also traveled from Taba. We didn’t stand for a minute at the border, the guide from the hotel sent us early. The pillow helped a lot. Three hours drive to the Dead Sea, and by five we were already in the Temple of Mr. in Jerusalem, then the Wailing Wall, and in Bethlehem, it is 15 minutes, but already Palestine. There is a terrible border with the count. wire, but there was no war then.
Lunch is there, too. shops and arr. way, swimming in the Dead Sea from 3 and a half hours, at 7 pm we were already in Egypt. A date with a friend is difficult, where will he look for your bus. Difficult, but you will remember all your life! I'm impressed to this day!

And I am planning (if everything goes well) an independent trip "in antiphase" Israel-Egypt.
Ie Jerusalem-Dead-Sea-Eilat-Akkaba (ferry)-Dahab-Sharm-e-Sheikh.
I wonder what budget I should lay down (for two weeks)???

I faced the same issue. I have friends in almost every city, but after weighing everything, I decided not to pull them, because I did not know the specific route and time of arrival in settlements. First of all, I was afraid because of customs. There, I did not meet with anyone, really - there is little time. For such meetings, I personally just planned a trip to Israel. You can see a lot in two weeks. Well, if it’s so unbearable, then an Israeli guide will always give you the opportunity to call a friend back and orient him. I recommend using the time allotted for shopping in the shops and lunch time in the kibbutz. Pleasant rest!

Well, I wouldn’t advise you to meet a friend at a certain time, because. after reading all the previous messages, I see that lunch and in general the whole program was built differently for everyone. I agree that, ideally, for a normal meeting with a friend, excursions will have to be sacrificed. Well, or only if a friend takes you back to the border)))

Very tiring!!! We stood at the border in Taba for 4 hours at night! Then gallop through the Holy Land. A step left or right was punishable by execution, only with a group. The bus through Israeli territory was good, but still exhausting. But in Egypt - not a bus, but a gas chamber, the driver is a suicide bomber. The trip is not for the faint of heart. It is better to take an individual tour or go separately from the Egyptian holiday to Israel.

We chose a two-day excursion - it's not as tiring as 1 day. I'm just delighted with the guides Anton Shmerling and Anna Solomatina, we managed to visit everywhere and got a lot of positive emotions. We went to Israel on January 25, 2009. The only thing is that between this excursion and the next one, you need to take a break for 2 days so that the information received is sorted out.

Isn't it easier to go straight to Israel?
аватар Bear-cub
marina8655: A tour to Israel is much more expensive than a tour to Egypt. that is why people choose to travel there for 1 day from Egypt.

Now, when you do not need a visa, you can, quite, make a trip to Israel no more expensive than a trip to Egypt. You just need to work on it. Find out, preferably from Russian Israelis, about inexpensive and decent hotels. Excursions to buy on the spot or book in advance in Israeli travel agencies, without intermediaries, etc. There are many opportunities to save money and significantly, it’s normal to visit Israel, to see not only shrines, but to feel the spirit of life in this country, and not endure such inconvenience due to visiting Israel for one day. Dmitry Krylov in ,, Unlucky notes ,, heard such the phrase ,,People visit different countries to learn the history of these countries, and Israel to learn OWN. If someone has questions, I will be happy to answer them.
