Which hotel to choose?
Hello, please tell me which hotel is better to choose 5 *? We will be 3 adults and a one-year-old child. We want the hotel to be clean, well cleaned in the room, good food, quickly reach the sea so that there are not many tourists (we went to Turkey, the hotel was crowded, they stood in line for food, there was not even enough food) and most importantly, that the baby was comfortable. Many thanks in advance!

So the priorities are:
1. Clean.
2. Good food and there was enough food.
3. Quickly reach the sea.
4. Few tourists.
5. Comfort for the child.
The priorities are completely accessible and real. The number of hotels that fall under the above items is large enough to list them all.
The most vulnerable are the items about cleanliness, food and the number of tourists, since these parameters are very subjective.
Tip: be careful about cheap hotels - they most often disappoint tourists.

A one-year-old child is comfortable where his mother is comfortable. So the mother should choose a hotel according to her needs and capabilities. There are many excellent hotels in SHES. From my own experience, I will note Savoy, Grand Rotana, Renaissance, Intercontinental Garden Reef, Shores Egypt, and even with a one-year-old child ... A very controversial issue!

evgen07, in my opinion, another important priority in this period of vacation planning is the calmness of the sea, a minimum of winds. In this regard, Ras Um Sid Bay is the most optimal. There are three hotels in the bay: Phanara, Reef Oasis and Faraana.

also look at Sharm El Maya Bay and the Iberotel Palace Hotel, it’s also calm in Naama Bay, but minus the fact that the beaches are usually small, look at Naama Sonesta Beach.

Of course, everything depends on your budget - the larger it is, the better the cleanliness of the hotel and the cooler the food ... Look at the Stela de Mare - a worthy hotel. And as a tip - do not consider hotels in the Nabq Bay - they are all more or less new, of course, but the sea ... Long pontoons (from 100 to 900 meters), strong winds and strong currents. For the whole vacation, you may not swim - as soon as they hang out a red flag, you will sunbathe in the pool ... From the budget "5" I can advise "Continental Garden Reef" (see my review of "Continental Plaza" - two nearby hotels with free movement).

If you plan to arrive in Egypt at Taba Airport, then you will not find a better hotel than Movenpick. Meets all your requirements, but far from W-e-Sh. 4 hours by bus. The child will be tiring. We often go to this hotel. Right on the border with Israel. Good smooth entry into the sea (no pontoons). The sea is always calm. Close to a beautiful reef.

There are strong winds in Hurghada at this time. Quieter in Sharm. Taba is even quieter than Sharm.

Evgen787, here are the average climate data in Sharm for the winter-spring:
JANUARY: air + 13С...+22С, sea +23С...+21С
FEBRUARY air +14С...+23С, sea +21С...+22С
MARCH: air +16C...+25C, sea +21C...+22C
APRIL: air +20C...+30C, sea +21...+23C
MAY: air +24C...+34C, sea +23C...+25C
What will be comfortable for the child and for you is up to you.
On my own behalf, I can assure you that being in Sharm in July with a one-year-old baby, neither I, nor my wife, nor the baby felt the discomfort of the heat. As the saying goes: "Steam does not break bones."
But the cooled sea (+21C..+23C) in winter, and strong wind at +18C, which is not uncommon in winter, is unlikely to bring great pleasure on a beach holiday.

I don’t recommend Faraana Reef Club, pools are not heated there in winter, except for a jacuzzi and severe stomach problems due to chlorinated creepy water.
