What's the weather like in Sharm El Sheikh in March?
Good time of the day! We want to fly to Sharm in March. Specifically on the 19th. Experienced travelers, tell me what's up with the weather? I understand that we don’t swim in the sea, but I really want heat!

Why don't you buy? The sea is stable). The water temperature is 22-23 degrees). It all depends on the area in which the hotel will be located. If the bay is windless, then it will not be so bad.

Why don't you buy??? Water is even nothing. Was in Naama for Christmas air 26 water 23-24. March will be very good. And if you take the bay, it will generally be cool, not windy.

Family vacation in March 2017 at about the same dates. Few swam only because it was stormy. If you choose a hotel in the bay, you will swim and sunbathe. During the day it is very hot, in the evening we walked in jeans and a T-shirt. Were with a child of 3 years old, they could not get out of the children's pool.

Good weather, windy in places, and therefore it will not always be possible to swim from the pier (although, again, depending on which hotel you choose, if in the bay, then everything is OK). Twice during this period we rested in charm, not in the bay, with the wind, and everything was always ok. The only negative is that they turn off the heating of the pools, and during the night the water cools down and it certainly invigorates. In the evenings they put on a blouse (but not a jacket, as sometimes happens in winter). Those are generally warm.

We have been in Sharm since March 25th. Swimming was quite comfortable, the wind was not strong. It only stormed for 2 days. Regarding the pools - during this period they are no longer heated.

March 13, 2017 swam in the sea and the water was super. Not the same as in summer, of course, but I, a fan of super warm water, snorkeled very well :) Look at the hotel in Naama Bay (Mouvenpick or Maritim). There is no wind and the water will be warmer.

just returned with miritim, in principle, not bad, although I think the movepick will be cooler, but it is much more expensive

Last year we were in the bay of Ras Nasrani. Personally, I was able to go into the water only a couple of times. The water temperature was 22 degrees. Approximately, as in June in the Odessa region. For me it's cold. Especially when compared with the fact that the Red Sea can warm up to +32 at the best times of the year))) You can swim in a wetsuit, it's warmer. But it's ideal for excursions. Temperature 25-27 - the most for some trips and other cultural activities. In short, it won't be hot.

It all depends on what water temperature you like. For me, 22 degrees is cool)) But for many, this is an absolutely comfortable temperature. I like to swim in the Red Sea more in hot weather. But considering that after the winter we missed the warmth, the sun, I think now I would have flopped into the water +22 without a doubt))

In a wetsuit, even 3 mm, you can safely swim in December.

I would recommend you to go in April
in March, the sea is still cool + wind + March is the month of sandstorms

Two years in a row we go on spring break (March 22-23), normally. Even the grandson bathes. Water was 23-24.
Were in Domino, there is no special wind. Everything is fine. Only the sun is much more active than in May ..

Were from March 8 to March 15 in Sentido. The bay of Ras um el Cid is paradise. There is practically no wind. What can not be said about what is happening behind the cape. The water was 23-25. that the sun is very strong.
аватар arristokrat7
I agree with neppmann about the sun, in April the sun will fry too much. We'll have to hang out under umbrellas.
аватар moy_contakt
so it (the sun) fries in May, and in the summer it’s like that in general :)

For me personally, as a heat-loving person, April was perfect for a holiday in Egypt. In December and January, I was cool, and sometimes cold. In March (we went after 15) it is still not as warm as we would like. In May (on the 20th) it’s already good, but the sun was scorching be healthy even when traveling with children .... if I sat normally under an umbrella, then you can’t pull them out of the pool or the sea, I had to pull on Panama T-shirts. September is certainly a class, but somehow it’s impossible to go to work this month. April has been perfect for us.

I support neppmann in March in Sharm in Ras um el Sid and Hadaba - it's a paradise, it's not so hot and the water temperature in the sea is up to +25
Rested in March in Movenpick, the weather is wonderful, and we swam and went diving
аватар shvunf
Vika, how do you like the Movenpick??? Worth your money????
аватар Veter.Peremen-Nadezhda.Kurganskaya
In March, the weather is great! And you swim in the sea) But I agree that it is better to choose hotels in the Hadaba area) Really a paradise)
аватар Vika284
shvunf Movenpick is worth it, I was in this hotel chain in Tunisia and Turkey
аватар shvunf
So you have to go! He is in Naama, I understand correctly
аватар Vika284
shvunf Movenpick Resort Sharm El Sheikh is Naama Bay, there was no wind in March, but in winter it is more protected from the wind than hotels in Nabq and you can swim in winter. Free shuttle from hotel to Naama and back. The hotel has 5 beaches, for every taste. The reef is beautiful. There were no questions about food.

22 degrees cold!))) earlier in the river everyone swam 18-20 everything was normal, and the children swam, at + 27-29 in the open sun in Egypt at a water temperature of + 22-23 cold
And when the swimming season was opened in May, it was not cold in the rivers, and the Black Sea was not as warm as the Red Sea, they bathed nothing and everything was OK. Now it's +22 cold
аватар karo555
Vika284, Many people dive into the hole at Baptism - and nothing. But this is not an indicator. Why are we splashing in rivers at this temperature? Yes, because where else to swim. But at a water temperature of 30 - it is much more comfortable to consider fish. In short, everything is for everyone. I’m not comfortable at 22, I don’t always go to the Black Sea even in July (and especially if it’s windy). But I am familiar with walruses, which feel great even at +10. All for an amateur.

It's not about what t water is, but how it feels in a particular climatic region. Yes, in Egypt the water does not drop below 22 degrees, but if the air t is not high and plus with the wind, then there will be not quite a comfortable feeling. And accordingly, everyone will endure such a theme in different ways. And to say that someone is freezing. Well, it’s useless that I swam last year in Georgia for May in water +13 gr .... but steam came from the pebbles and it was +35 air. She ran into the water and jumped out and ran to bask on the pebbles. It certainly was more extreme. I prefer water from +25 degrees, because again I repeat, I’m cold and in March (Egypt, after 15.03) we went on an excursion on a yacht, did several swims to coral reefs, then the first time I froze without a thermal suit, I was very cold, my tooth was on I didn’t get a tooth ... and the second and third in a thermal suit were already normal .... And in Montenegro, I quite calmly swam in May at +20 .. but the air temperature was +35 and without wind. And in the winter we went to Egypt a couple of times, and I was freezing ..

Holidays in March are pure delight. I remember how I rejoiced at the chirping of sparrows in the morning and the first rays of the bright sun. Breakfast on the open terrace .... yes, the water in the sea is cool, I plunged in and went out, but everything else is worth it to leave the dullness for the sun.
One of the main criteria for March is the heated pool!

Year after year is not necessary, and in March it is cold. We traveled with children for several years in a row on spring and autumn holidays in Aqua Blue, Ras Um El Sid bay. In March 2011, it was windy even in this bay, the water was so cold that no one was swimming. My son went to sea once, I did it twice, my daughter never.
