Bali Island in January 2017. There is a place to take a walk (Soho), the rooms are very old, there is only one slide, the heated pool is so-so. A place where to sit for a drink in the evening is quite sad. Animation wasn't great back then. But the beach is good. The food was normal then (but 2 years have passed)

Were in Island view a week ago. Every day we went to the SOHO in the evening. There is almost no adult evening animation at the hotel. The rooms are a little tired already, but more or less normal yet. Fed well, there are even dietary dishes. The reef is the best in this bay, sailing along the coast. There lives a family of Napoleons, they are fed. The only thing on the shore for children was to swim at low tide (from 8 am to 14:00). The hotel has a huge green area, which is cared for daily. I liked the animation on the beach - exercise, yoga, darts, aqua aerobics and volleyball.

All of these hotels have places to go for a walk. I really didn’t like the reef in Island view (Oct. 2017) - some kind of poor and very few fish. The hotel is near Soho - there is where to walk.
In Dreams beach (Oct 2018) the reef is more interesting (especially if you sail north from the side of Noama Bay). The hotel has an interesting multi-tiered beach and entry into the water from the shore or from the pier. The hotel has a common area with the Dreams Vocation hotel, which is large enough for evening walks. El Mercato shopping street is a 15-minute walk away.
We haven’t been to Melton beach, but next to it there is about 300 m) there is a promenade, a shopping street and a chic reef of the Baron hotel.
I think that of these three hotels it will be the most windy on Melton beach.

Of those that you named - definitely Island. Melton has a slightly prettier reef, but the hotel itself is worse. Plus, it can get windy in winter.
