Just got back from Marsa Alam. Resta Reef Resort. The reef is really untouched. Even in the lagoon, they saw 10 times more different living creatures than in Sharm in Nabq.
But the most amazing reef is at the Shams Alam hotel. We went there for half a day. There are turtles, and a sea cow, and there are plenty of different rays, and lionfish, and octopuses. And the hotel itself is very good. The only drawback is that it is very far from civilization: about 300 km from Hurghada.

Sunrise 5*, Sierra4*, Concorde 5*, Savoy 5* in Sharm El Sheikh
and Resta Reef Resort in Marsa Alam - excellent reefs
tested on my own experience - highly recommend

From myself, I would also recommend Kahramana beach in Mars. Own reef, own lagoon and the opportunity to visit Abu Dabab. All in all a decent hotel. Read my review.
