Who was on this tour, tell me if it's worth going there?

A wonderful excursion if you go by bus and not by yacht. If you like snorkeling and interesting landscapes, then you will love it. First you will see the Panorama, then the Gate of Allah, then 30-40 min. stay on the first beach, then visit the Mangroves, then the Magic Lake, and then another 40 min. on the second beach .... I really liked it!!!

Where will you rest.
There are hotels with reefs SUCH that you don’t need to go to Ras Mohamed.
It all depends on the chosen hotel.

Costs. Was twice. The second time I liked it much more. It all depends on the team of guides and the agency from which you will go. Dive stops vary slightly. The second time we saw a large and a small moray eel. In the same way, I went to Tiran three times, stopping at different places. But the impressions are always bright.

I think the Mangroves are definitely worth seeing, no reef near the hotel can replace this miracle!!!

I agree with rara74 - it all depends on the house reef.
Moreover, now, as far as I know, snorkels are not taken to a very super reef, the entrance to the reserve was paid, it was $ 5. They begin to protect the reefs there.

Good night. Definitely - you MUST go on this excursion! My husband and I were in Egypt for the first time and only 7 days. A day later, excursions, including Ras Mohamed (bus from Grand Rotana). us such cool photos of this excursion! We want more!

Hello. I'm sure this tour is a MUST! It's great, my husband and I liked it. We rested for the first time in Egypt for a week, went on excursions a day later and this is correct and relaxed, although we are only ... slightly over 50. Very good

Many thanks to everyone, we will definitely go and then share my impressions. I was in Egypt on an excursion to the monastery of St. Catherine and Mount Moses, what else, besides Ras Mohammed, can I see when I go with my husband in July.

We went on this excursion on a yacht. Nothing special, I liked the yacht itself, the sun, the breeze, the dolphins in the sea. As for the reef, it was much more interesting in our hotel. Yes, and swimming in a crowd in fins is not very cool, believe me. We didn't see the mangrove. She, as I understand it, can be seen from the bus. These are our impressions, and you see for yourself.)))

I agree with the opinion that it all depends on the "house" reef. If such as in Mile Sinai or Iberotel Grand Sharm, then Ras Mohammed will not amaze you with anything.

Papa74, Pachok, I myself did not expect that I would be so lucky! That after the "home" reef of Sierra Savita I will see even more beautiful places! The first visit to the reserve did not cause any special emotions. For the seventh visit to Egypt, I saw a reef from Sierra to Savita. And on the same visit we visited Ras Mohammed for the second time. I just wanted to go out to sea from the hotel, we didn’t even expect to see special beauties, so, spend a day on a yacht, sunbathe. They waved their hand and took the reserve. Other tourists, having learned that we had already been here once, were surprised why go to the same place a second time. And the dive sites were completely different, with the most beautiful reefs (the first visit just smokes on the sidelines)!

But no one can guarantee you where you will be taken. Ras Mohammed is big, there are a lot of sites for diving. If the dive route is agreed with divers, then for snorkels, as lucky. It's good if snorkels get in with divers.
And it's just great when there are only divers on the yacht without snorkels.

And I was disappointed (((Before the trip, everything was painted like this, as if there was no more wonderful place on earth. We arrived at the first stop - a terrible current. By the time we started to get used to it, everyone was already on the bus, there was no time. The child in tears, did not see anything, could not swim. Second Stop: Mangroves (small, liquid bushes in the water), a hole in the ground (a hole in the ground), "Lake of Desires" (so salty that then it pinches the whole body, it is better not to enter with delicate skin, because it is washed off all this will not work out until the evening). True, under the "curtain" at the third stop there was not a bad bay. The reef is beautiful there and there are no waves, we saw a stingray. But the reef was no worse with us and was near the hotel. I don’t know, maybe it was bad luck with the route, but for some reason we returned not delighted, only exhausted, with thoughts about the soul.

I also HIGHLY advise an excursion to Cairo to the pyramids. My husband and I are not satisfied - If you haven’t seen the Egyptian pyramids and haven’t touched them, you haven’t been to Egypt! We were on 3 excursions in a week. I really like passive rest on the beach, but I didn’t regret the excursions even once. Even vice versa = I want more. Don’t be afraid that the tour lasts a day. We left the hotel (Savoy) at 1 o’clock and returned at 2 o’clock the next day. , enjoy!

Here I can not enjoy such excursions. Everyone has their own threshold of patience. It takes more than seven hours to go there, to be on the pyramids for 40-50 minutes ...
I'd rather take a plane or take my time in Cairo for some days.
Although here we are talking about Ras Mohammed.
аватар Pachok
I agree with elenako.
Cairo deserves a separate excursion visit, and not a gallop of eight hours there, eight back, half an hour to the Cairo Museum, the edge of Giza, and further along the program - papyrus "institutions", "factories" of local oil stench, jewelry, onyx ...

We are going to have a rest in July, how can these excursions be tolerated, is it not very hot?
аватар elenako
It seems to me that it will be very hot, but I do not know how you tolerate the heat. You need to take more water with you. The bus will have air conditioning, but it will not be on the street.
аватар rna1977
I went to Ras Mohammed in August. Of course, it was hot, but in Egypt the heat is much easier to bear. They wrote correctly about water, take more !!! If we raise the issue of Cairo, then I advise you not to go there from resort cities (7 hours by bus is tiring, you will take a tour of the city and the Pyramids in a sleepy and tired state), but fly directly to Cairo, take a few days and you will not regret it. THERE IS SOMETHING TO SEE!!!
аватар Anetka-gan
We went to Ras Mukhamed ourselves, much more interesting, but IMHO Nabq is more beautiful. I personally would not take a tour, only on my own! But this is if you can rent a car.
аватар Anetka-gan
to Cairo, by the way, too, they themselves were sent for 3 days and did not see everything! climbed on the pyramids for only 5-6 hours!
аватар tamalykhina
Thanks everyone

The tour is just super, and as they say correctly, you need to go by bus and it will be much more meaningful. At the very end, dinner at the Bedouins, also cool)))
