You shouldn't react to comments like that. The most important thing is a good mood ... so take it with you on a trip. The period of stay is not the best ... maybe in the evening a sweater will come in handy. Medication (nifuroxazide, activated charcoal, your usual medicines /heart, etc./, eye drops /albucid/, vial of iodine). Small dollars will also come in handy, not only 100 each. You may need to give 10..20 dollars upon check-in. I always take a kettle and my tea, despite what the hotel has. I like to drink tea late at night without leaving my room. Not all have a kettle in the room.
