Last year we were there in the first decade of June. The sea is cold. But the weather is great. You can lie on the beach. A lot of people swam, but we do not like such a temperature. Choose a hotel close to metro stations. No matter in which part of the city, the subway is very convenient, it can take you to the Barcelona Sants train station, and there are convenient trains to the airport. No need to splurge on a taxi. To see the city, buy tickets for the sightseeing bus. Buses depart from Plaza Catalunya. It is better to take a ticket for two days, cheaper. They give a book with discounts to museums, cafes, etc. with the ticket. The excursion bus travels along three lines, you will just have time in two days. And in the remaining time, you will walk around the places that you liked from the bus. Discounts from the booklet will be valid after the expiration of the tickets. Look at La Pedrera, Casa Battlo, in the Sagrada Familia queues, if you want to get there, it’s better not on weekends, you shouldn’t waste time in queues. Park Guell. Also, to have an inexpensive lunch (you can, of course, at McDonalds, but you are going to Catalonia!) plan to do this from 14 to 16. 00, restaurants serve set lunches. You can keep within 12 euros! Barceloneta has great cafes!

And buy a subway ticket for 10 trips. This is very profitable. If you want to see the singing fountains or Tibidabo, first check what time they are open. There are also great bus tours around Barcelona. In 2012 there were three. Maybe they'll add it. At first it seems a bit pricey, but the full day tours, including transport and tastings, are very informative. Plus discounts from the Bus Turistik booklet. If you love wine, be sure to take a trip to Wine and Cava, a tour of wineries with tastings. Wonderful nature and you can buy gifts home. By the way, in souvenir shops at wineries prices are normal. There is also Montserrat near Barcelona. There is a tour there, but you can read on the Internet and go savages. It is not difficult to get there, and there will be more time to enjoy this beauty. This mountain is a real miracle, take the time to visit it. There is a monastery with a boys' choir. And the Blessed Virgin Mary. Chernenkaya. Why I won’t tell you. If you go, you will find out. Barcelona is a great choice, here you can find entertainment for every taste. You fall in love with this city at first sight and want to come back there again.

The city is big, but it is on the seashore. Getting to the beaches is not a problem. From Plaza Catalunya, we walked along the Rambla to the sea. This is their Arbat. You can get a couple of stations closer to the sea by metro. Believe me, when you see how beautiful this city is, you will often not want to go down the subway. There is such architecture and such air on the surface! Proud beaches are full. They are sandy. You must have seen photos of some other beaches. As for the hotel, if it's close to the metro station, it doesn't matter how far from the center. The metro is very convenient, so I would not bother with hotels near the Sagrada Familia or on the Rambla. Expensive. It was the first time we lived close to Barcelona Sants train station. Small but very clean hotel. Live and Dream. It is convenient to go back home to the airport with full suitcases. Exactly 10 minutes walk. Well, the metro is three steps away - a connection with the city. The second time we lived in an aparthotel. Near the Akbar Tower. Apsis Porta Marina (Imagine, he was next to the morgue! But it's not scary, we only spent the night there). From there, walk to the sea for about 15 minutes.. If you need a beach-beach, you will most likely have to leave the city, there will be fewer people and, I think, cleaner. A city beach is a city beach!
