Answer

We rested in the town of Taurito, in the south of the island. Not crowded place, only a few hotels (we were in the 4-star Valle Taurito). Read my review. The ocean is really close at hand.

A good half of the hotels located in Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés will fit these criteria. But with a few people it will be difficult ;-)
