How many days is optimal to devote to Madrid?
I’m going in November for 8 full days, I don’t know how much time to spend in Madrid, maybe it makes sense to combine it with Toledo and Cordoba. Experts of Spain, advise.

Toledo is a must, just an hour away. Segovia is also close, and Polina_Sumy described it very entertainingly. I would recommend Cordoba next time, in conjunction with Malaga, Seville, Jerez. Cadiz, etc.
And how many days to Madrid - depends only on your preferences. You can run around and around in a day or two, or you can - tastefully, calmly, with cafes, museums, parks and spend a week)

zhdanova10, thank you. And which is better: Segovia, Cuenca or Salamanca?

I was in the center a little, only Madrid and Toledo. But Polina wrote well about Salamanca and Segovia.

Madrid - 2 days is enough. There is nothing special to watch.

Thank you all, we take two overnight stays in Toledo and Segovia, the rest according to the situation. We will look with taste, cafes and museums))).

Thank you! I will remember El Lando. And shopping is not my element))).

I can't say that shopping is my element. But abroad, taking into account the return of taxis, discounts and cheaper prices, significant savings are obtained. Plus good quality. In Russia, I rarely go to buy something, only if I really need something very much))
Have a great trip!

In Segovia, apart from the viaducts, there is nothing special to see; in Toledo, one full day is worth spending. Be sure to try the Cathedral and gastronomy, they sell delicious cheese and bread on the streets. We also ordered venison stew in a family restaurant, they cook very tasty. And 4 days were not enough for me in Madrid. To kolyan_cat: Have you been to Madrid yourself?
