Near Barcelona and on the Costa Brava there are no and never were nuclear power plants, the closest to Barcelona is 100 km towards Tarragona. And the Costa Brava is just not as hot as in Andalusia in summer and the sea is warmer by an average of 3º-4ºC. In Marbella it is good to relax in October - which we do ourselves.
