Refine your question.
Costa Brava - the name of the region, Lloret de mar is a resort town in the Costa Brava region.

Choose both - you can't go wrong :)

Exactly, Loret de Mar is a specific resort town in the Costa Brava region, province of Girona. A very good town. Recommend. If you don’t go deep into geography, then everything that is 60 km and further east of Barcelona towards France is the Costa Bravo. In my opinion, starting with Blanes.

If you are interested in an active evening life - discos, clubs, etc., then Lloret de Mar is just such a resort. If you are looking for a quieter and more measured holiday, then it is better to stay in another town, for example, in Blanes or Tossa de Mar.

Rested with her husband in Lloret de Mar.
On the first night at 5 in the morning we woke up from the songs of a cheerful young man. It is not clear whether he was returning from a party or going to work with a joyful mood. We are pensioners, so we went to the nearest pharmacy and bought earplugs.
We made sure that this is a city of youth, where there are many night bars.
Therefore, choose a town on the Costa Brava, depending on your age.

Lauret de Mar has grown a lot in recent years. There is a separate tourist block from some large hotels. There is a central embankment and adjacent lanes with many bars and entertainment, but there is noisy half the night. And there is a third and further line from the sea, where the locals live, there are apartments and small hotels, it is quite calm there. It all depends on what you need from the rest.
Blanes I would not highly recommend. Not a bad place and the railway nearby to Barcelona and yet it is quite an industrial town.
I want movement, then Loret, I want nature and silence, then Tossa.
But all these gradations are, of course, conditional. everywhere there are noisy and quiet places.

andreyvip, in Blanes there is an old historical part of the city and a more modern one - there are more hotels and, it seemed to me, modern residential buildings. We lived in a hotel on the third line - it takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach, we did not see or feel the "industry". The railway is located quite far from the coast and most hotels.
We sailed on a boat from Blanes to Tossa - I got the feeling that in Blanes the coastline is much longer and wider than in Lloret, and there are more beaches. Even in August in Blanes there were no problems with a place on the beach. Plus there is a botanical garden.
In any case, I have a very pleasant impression of Blanes.

I'm not saying that Blanes is a bad place. It is less touristy and less entertaining compared to Loret. Although there is an abundance of hotels and bars, and yet his status is different. The coastline there is definitely more than in Loret. Well, as a rule, hotels in Blanes are cheaper. Although this is all very conditional. For calmness and air it is in Tosu.
If you wish, you can just walk through the botanical garden from Blanes to Loret and back, although of course it’s not very close there, but I like to walk, so I went several times. and you can not suffer and take the bus)

In principle, the previous authors correctly explained. The Costa Brava starts from Blanes and north through Lloret and Tossa and on to France. Quieter Tossa and Northern Blanes, Lloret more shibutnoy. You can walk along the coast from Lloret to Tossa and Blanes. Routes are marked with red lines. The beaches are good everywhere. The choice is yours.

My husband and I also rested in Lloret in early October. I liked the town itself, and the hotel was not bad: a four in a 5-minute walk from the beach (by the way, the beach is quiet, Fenals) and a 15-minute walk from the center. So it's kind of in the city and in a not very noisy place. It was called Oasis Park (I can safely recommend the hotel: all rooms have a balcony, there is a pool, a spa, in general, you can read on their website, I don’t say it’s super, but quite, especially considering the proximity to the sea). But in October it was already cool, especially in the evenings, and during the day water is not for everyone. Therefore, we decided that next time we would come in September, but we definitely want to return to Lloret, the atmospheric town. The beach is wide and comfortable. Nutrition tip: take half board, as food in Spain is not cheap in cafes, and breakfast - dinner helps a lot in this regard. We had an average hotel in terms of food, breakfasts are standard, and dinners are very good. And Barcelona is a stone's throw away. Now I'll throw off a couple of photos if I find it.

You should know that along the entire coast of the Costa Brava (along the beach) there is a railway, so if this does not bother you, then the Costa Brava is a normal choice. It seems to me a good choice of Motaro (30 minutes from Barcelona) and the railway is not very close.
аватар l.sh
If Motaro, then look at the Hotel Atenea Port Barselona Motaro 4 *.
аватар andreyvip
so the railway along the coast only to Blanes, then the coast is clean. mountain slopes and pleasant bays with coniferous forests

In hotels, take a room not for the road, but for the pool. We had this number.

My choice in Spain is quiet and serene Andalusia. Away from the nightmarish, overcrowded beaches of the Costa Brava. But tour operators are unlikely to take you there (and thank God!), you have to book and get there yourself.

I rested on the Costa Bravo in September, the sea is cool and there were big waves. I advise Costa Dorado in August, the weather is good and the sea is warm.
