Tenerife does not have its own hotel beaches. Next to this hotel, del Duque beach is one of the best on the island, we came there to swim. It is public and quite "densely populated". Across the cape is Fanabe beach - also good and more spacious.

Pachok, but is there a calm on del Duque and Fanabe so that you can safely swim 50 meters from the shore?
аватар Pachok
Yes, it happens! :) Not a "mirror", but there are almost no waves. The reason for this is the breakwaters, standing parallel to the coastline, just 50 meters from them and there is, maybe a little more. On Google maps you can see on which beaches they are - such dark stripes in the water.

Thanks. I know about breakwaters))) When we were in Tererife, we went to swim in Los Teresitas, there were practically no waves. I looked on the map - on del Duque other breakwaters seemed to me. Therefore, she asked.

I remember, I remember this Teresitas :)) Never in my life have I seen such a prickly sandblaster on the beach, I thought I would tear off my skin alive. But the sea there, as for me, is the best on the island. If you run from the sea to the shower and into the car, then tolerable :)

never got sandblasted there, everything was super.
Apparently it depends on the time of year. about sandblasting, on the contrary, I heard in the south.
аватар camomille
what month were you in? we were late august/early september
аватар Pachok
The middle and end of August 2019. In the south, the sand is fine and soft, but here it’s just terrible and the wind is very strong. Probably unlucky, but I read similar reviews before the trip. I didn’t believe it :) After Anagi, I wanted to swim and went down in this direction.

camomille, how do you like Tenerife in general?
аватар camomille
this is the place where I would like to return.
but, the south of the island did not touch me at all, and the north is beautiful. I remember when we were driving from the airport (south), the first thought was - horror, horror, where did we get ??? everything is black, the rocks are black, the water is black, only camel thorns from the vegetation ....
I consider Costa Adeje solely from the point of view of staying 5-6 days to swim and visit the Masca Gorge. and the main part is Puerto de la Cruz. on Jardine we were shown a small beach, where even with red flags on other beaches you can swim, in principle it’s not bad there, but you can swim only 10 meters maximum.
on Los Teresitas sand from the Sahara. they tell a legend that this sand is stolen)))
I want to be in Tenerife in May, when everything is in bloom. not this year, but maybe next year..
аватар rsveta1973
everywhere there are municipal beaches, this is not Turkey)) we were 4 times in Tenerife 2 times in February (carnival) and March, once in April-May and once in October, the sand * pricks * in February and March when the winds are, but not deadly, but the best time is may and october ))))) but I would go again))))
