I think it also depends on the plantation. We were in Kandy at the tea factory. The boxes are, of course, great. But the tea that lies in containers around the factory does not smell like tea at all. Bought at a tea shop in Kalutara. The choice is large, everyone gives you a sniff, if you ask - and they will brew it.
