I can’t recommend the place, I don’t remember the name, but tips:
1. Obviously not on the tourist streets
2. Sangria - an indicator of the price level in restaurants. Recognizing the "divorce" of tourists in Lisbon is easy - look at the price of Sangria on the main tourist street and take it as a guide as the price of a "tourist" restaurant. Usually if above 10 Euro is the tourist price. In a cafe "for locals" - up to 10 Euros, respectively, and the rest of the food will be cheaper and not at the expense of quality.
3. There is a custom when you sit down and order, they bring you some small appetizer, such as a small bowl of seafood salad, which you did not order. You think it's "nasharu", but then this thing is included in the bill and its price will be high.
Therefore, without hesitation, refuse, show to be taken away, if you do not want to be "divorced" for 7-15 Euros out of the blue.

what does sangria have to do with Lisbon .... this is not Barca. in many local non-tourist cafes it is not at all. mostly local wine (very tasty from Setubal) Local cafes, where it will not be expensive but tasty, are located between residential buildings on the ground floors for 3-5 tables that do not work all day, but for meals. it’s better to come at the beginning of dinner (there will be a choice of 2-3 main dishes) they cook octopus tentacles, duck and tuna very tasty, I didn’t go for bacalau, although we specially went to a restaurant where they cooked it very tasty. you can also go to a large super store, try wine, cheese, dried meat and then buy a little bit of everything cut together with olives.
Delicious sardines in any form.
And of course, insanely delicious desserts, everywhere!

Sangria, despite the fact that we are not talking about taste, and I did not advise buying it.
For those who are especially dull, once again - Sangria is a price indicator in a restaurant. Sangria for 16 Euros means the prices are "for tourists" and are 2 times higher compared to restaurants "for locals".
Is there another indicator that is easy to find on the menu even without knowing the language and which reflects the price level in the restaurant? Suggest.

It is assumed that the tourist will not wander in the sleeping quarters in search of cafes for 2-3 tables, but still find a place in the tourist part and with a price close to the local one. In this case, the price of Sangria is just an excellent indicator.

I support the previous commenter!
Lisbon is a big city. You can give you the coordinates and names of trusted establishments, but it is hardly worth going there through the whole city, if you can have cafes just as good nearby, at your side.
Plus in terms of food - Portugal is an inexpensive country.
I would put not Sangria as an indicator of "high cost", but the price of soup. In cheap establishments - from 1.5 euros, in expensive establishments - above six!
And Pingo doce supermarkets have culinary departments where you can also eat and take away. Quite tasty and relatively inexpensive)

kolyan_cat, once again, for those who are especially intelligent, sangria is not always available in the tourist zones of Lisbon, this is not Barca! The price indicator should then be local wine.
From the center to some residential areas in Lisbon on foot min. 10-15.
Lisbon, unlike many other tourist centers, is very loyal in terms of prices for gastronomy. And the prices in cafes for tourists and locals do not differ much, but depend on the very level of the cafe. In the center, I noticed more than once in cafes many local office workers gathered for lunch.

You won’t go hungry from Figueira Square for sure :) There is also one place there, unfortunately I don’t remember the name, they cook pork soaked in wine, and delicious soups for 2 euros, there were enough plates for two of us

In tourist places in the summer there is ALWAYS Sangria. And look at the local wine - well, ok, there will be a name in Portuguese on the menu, how to understand which wine is where?
Soup is a good idea, but then again, if the cafe is not touristy, how do you know where the soup is on the menu? And he is also different.
In Lisbon tourist guides, it is suggested to take some local sandwich as an indicator. I tried to find its names on the menu, but I pissed and then did a great job on Sangria. It is the same in all languages. Well, if it's not on the menu - well, then you're out of luck. But this is everyone's business, I do not insist, but only offer a solution that suits me perfectly.
