Apparently, the postponement is associated with an airport strike in France. It is unlikely that it will be possible to unscrew something from them, only to agree with the proposed option. If all segments of the route are issued by TAP Portugal, then they must provide a transit hotel at their own expense.

Did you call/write to the airline itself? Just because they didn't give you a refund option doesn't mean you're not eligible. Well, or an option with compensation, if it is more convenient for you.
