We flew from Bangkok by local airlines for 1 hour, then a taxi for 500 baht and you are there. On the way back, the flight was delayed due to fog, so please plan your departure time. We returned the day before. In Bangkok, we went down to the lowest floor and took the train for 40 baht, without traffic jams, to the Rachatprarop station. We lived in the highest hotel Bayok Sky. For residents of the hotel, visiting the observation deck is free. The food at the hotel is bullshit! Koh Samui is much better. There is a market nearby, it works from 6 am, you will have time to buy T-shirts from 100% cotton as gifts for 100 rubles. Were in LAMAI INN 99 for the New Year 2013-2014. I liked it very much: the location, and the beach, and massage / pedicure, and the proximity of the city center, and the opportunity to walk / eat / drink / shop. And especially excursions. It was stormy (not strong) and it rained for a short time only 2-3 times in 2 weeks.
