Is food expensive at the hotel?
Can you please tell me how much food and alcohol cost at the hotel? And is there a difference between 4 * and 5 * (prices in the territory). Thank you in advance!

This is one hotel, it is not divided by anything.
Food is really very expensive. Everything is calculated on the fact that if a person was able to pay such an amount for a hotel that it is rare in Pattaya where his things will simply lie, because people go to Pattaya on excursions, and not sit in a hotel, then money is not very important for him and he can pay very dearly for both drink and food. Outside the hotel there are cafes to which you need to walk 400-500 meters. It will be much cheaper there. Opposite the hotel there is a 7/11 shop where you can buy cheap drinks and some food. But living in such a hotel and buying food at 7/11 is somehow not pontoon. :))))))))))

it's like driving a Bentley and buying used tires and filling up with 76 gas. Why Bentley then? If show-off, then to the end :))))))))

in fact, we choose between the grand mirage 5 * and Garden cliff 4 * (I meant this, I apologize for the inaccuracy in the question). At a cost of 6-10 thousand, the grand mirage comes out more expensive, and there is a big difference in the territory. We just can’t decide and read somewhere that it’s expensive (more expensive than 4 *) .... Although I don’t want to go below 4 * (so as not to be disappointed in the rest because of the hotel) .....

If you chose Pattaya, and not the islands, then you are going on excursions. And this, in turn, means that you will only spend the night in the hotel (and even then not for long) and take a shower. Where to do it in Pattaya does not matter. Paying a lot of money for a hotel and not living in it, in my opinion, makes no sense. You will not swim in the sea anyway on the beach of the hotel. It is dirty everywhere. This is Pattaya. The main thing here is not a hotel, but a properly designed program of stay (excursions).
The hotels you mentioned are worth each other. It's hard to even say which one is better. In Cliff there are 2 buildings one better than the other. But there are no food options at all. Only in the hotel. It is located behind Pratumnak and there is no infrastructure nearby. Only for rich people. If you need pictures, I will send. Just leave an email. 2 weeks ago I did an inspection of this hotel, so the pictures are the freshest and most natural.
Or is it better to go to the islands? Or, if you are still on an excursion, then the hotel is simpler?

It's up to you to decide, of course, it's just a pity for your money. This is not Egypt or Turkey with full board. Everything is different here.

Why do you really make me think...

Max36, I support with all limbs! We are also from Siberia and swim in any sea. They don’t understand us.

in the river, even the most "dirty" I also buy with pleasure. This is natural mud. She's even helpful. And swimming in the sea with chemical waste, sewage, etc. somehow you don’t feel like it, although it looks better than your river. It's like swimming in your own shit (sorry) in a solution of chemicals mixed with plastic bags and natural garbage. The point here is not that we are snickering, but in health. I don’t understand those people who disdain to eat freshly prepared food in a Thai cafe, but swim in such a sea. Where is the logic?

I was in Tsentar, an excellent hotel, I did not regret it at all. that gave so much money. The breakfasts are excellent, then the pool with filtered sea water, there it is just huge, there is a bar in the center, swim up and enjoy, once I went to the beach, plunged into the sea - I didn’t like it. Later on excursions, then we swam again and went to the city. There are not far cafes for every taste, everything is fresh, inexpensive. We had dinner at the hotel twice - in a pretentious Italian restaurant at the reception, there are 6 people above you with a napkin while you chew, expensive, food from the freezer, not ice at all. the second time in a grill bar, it tastes better there, but all this in the city is cheaper and tastier at times! In the evening you will see where the people stretched, you won’t stay hungry for sure. The service at the hotel is super, beautiful rooms, fresh orchids, whiskey ice, fruits and chocolate, everything is stylish, beautiful, I really liked it. I can send a photo if you want

Hello! I would also have no doubt and chose Mirage. It is worth its money (and also look at the hotel website there are often promotions, which reduces the cost of the stay). My husband and I had the most pleasant experience. The breakfasts are so good that we didn’t go to lunch at all, but ate dinner according to our mood (there is plenty to choose from in the center). The sea is really dirty, but this is after the same Koh Lana) And my husband also caught a hedgehog with his foot at the hotel at low tide, so be careful.

I would also choose Centara, if I didn’t count money at all. A good hotel for those who have so many of them that they even have enough to rent such expensive housing for their belongings. :)))))))))))))))) People are lucky...

Each of us chooses what is closer to his liking, mood and pocket. If a person has the opportunity to stay in such a luxurious hotel (and even with a huge discount, as we had last year), then why shouldn't he do it Amir1 ? Let's say we didn't have a lot of money, but considering the hotel Aisavan and Tsentara, the difference was $ 55 - NATURALLY WE TAKE A CENTAR, WHAT WE NEVER REGRET. You just need to be able to and look for good deals at a low price.
On the territory of the hotel we only had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the street or often went on foot to BIG C or LOTUS - there is a good selection of ready-made dishes and chicken and fish and sushi and rolls, etc. and if you go there after 20.00, all this variety drops in price by 2 times, so I would advise you to go there, but the owner is a gentleman. Have a good rest, we arrived a week ago, had a great rest, went to exes and massages and SPA, everything is super, for all procedures there are transfers in both directions, we were satisfied with our nice manager for exes and procedures, if you are interested, I can recommend.

the price of the hotel is always the same. More precisely, it changes only for high and low season. Net-price of hotels in Thailand on my website. The rest is the antics of your tour operators.
But in my opinion it is better to rent a luxurious apartment with super furniture, a private pool, personal security, 3 rooms, a hallway, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning in every room, in a chic area, close to the beach, market and a bunch of shops. The cost of such apartments is about 3 times cheaper than Centara. And the quality is 5 times better and more convenient. That's why I don't understand Centara. But this is just my personal opinion. But everyone has their own. If I were in the place of those tourists who go to Pattaya, I would not have been at the hotel for all the days of my stay. There is a lot to do here besides the hotel. In just 15 days you won't see it. And in hotels I would sit on the islands, but definitely not in Pattaya.

thanks to everyone for the feedback - but Amir1 is right, everyone has their own opinion, and we still chose the center. We are leaving November 12th. We are going to Thailand for the first time. After the rest, I will definitely write a review, is it still worth it or not worth overpaying)))). See you soon!

Hello everyone!, we also chose the center, friends advised us to fly to Thailand for the first time, so everything is also interesting. Marina530, please, if it’s not difficult, send me a photo of my email [email protected] thanks in advance

if you want to see a photo, go to the reviews about the center, I have a photo there, I was there in early June.
