Do I need to take medication with me? And a few more questions
Hello, I'm thinking about Thailand in February. It will be honeymoon. The tour operator offers to Pattaya) they say it's good, inexpensive and stable weather. To what extent is this so?
I read different reviews about different hotels) until I looked at the hotel. I'm interested in this: is it possible to take with me ... and is it necessary ... to take all kinds of festals, mezima and sorbex to improve digestion from the habit?

It is possible (better in luggage) and necessary (200-300 grams is not weight, but you never know what happens on the road, and not only for digestion). It is called a first-aid kit.
аватар V.I.P
I agree with Oleksii64, you need a first aid kit, especially if you are flying with children, be sure to take a standard set. Almost 40% of visiting tourists have food problems with the stomach.
аватар malina-6969
of course, take it with you from the stomach, temperature, and you never know if you suddenly get hurt, from allergies, some insect bit me, on the leg, closer to the ankle, the rash went through the body, up to the navel, inclusive, I drank allergy pills, a day passed 3.so it's better to stock up than to run and look for it there.

and what to run and look for here. Pharmacies on every corner. They are not clay with the name of tablets, as in Ukraine, but real medicine. There is also insurance, which is better to go and take yourself in Leading. It can be used to visit the best hospital in Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. Problems with fever, indigestion and allergies are solved in 15 minutes. However, you have to pay the money yourself and then withdraw it to Ukraine in 2 weeks. But if you pay $ 200 here, they pay about $ 300 in Ukraine. I don't know why, but the fact has been repeatedly verified by us personally and many of our tourists. As for the organization of the holiday and whether or not to go to Pattaya, talk to me on asti 387277801 or skype amirkovel or give your Ukrainian phone number. I'll tell you everything, and then decide.

Let me ask you the criteria for choosing a resort? In my understanding, Pattaya is great for mobile, curious and restless people. A huge number of excursions to confirm this. However, for the romance of a honeymoon, it will be difficult to find a place. Perhaps you do not need additional advice, but I would recommend a better island.
аватар Oleksii64
Amir, well, you are describing more serious cases, and if I rubbed my leg, then it’s easier for me to get a band-aid out of my suitcase than to limp to the pharmacy (according to the law of meanness, it won’t be on the nearest corner at the right time) and tell my problems in Thai.
аватар Amir1
why in thai? In English. And sign language works best. And after the Thai "adhesive plaster" Ukrainian one somehow does not really want to use it.
аватар Amir1
Lenuskina honeymoon usually happens to young, energetic and interested in everything people. They also go to disco. I don't think they'll be fine with lying on the beach for 14 days. It is best to combine business with pleasure. For example Pattaya + Koh Chang or Samet, or even better, both. From here and to Koh Lan you can go for 1 dollar and do a sea safari on 3 more islands. I think it will be more interesting for young people than staying in the same hotel on the same island.
аватар Oleksii64
Anatoly, I don't know how "adhesive plaster" will be in English :)))))) Hello Pattaya!
аватар Amir1
me too :))))))
but that doesn't stop me from buying it. And once I had to buy a remedy for hemorrhoids for tourists. Nobody knows how to say it in English either. Only sign language. Here it was fun. But they did it in a minute. After that, the patch is easy to buy. :)))))))))))))
аватар Oleksii64
Was there a pharmacy at least not on Volkin Street? :))))))
аватар Amir1
no, I settled them in my guesthouse behind the Tuk-Kom.
аватар Tupodupa
Oops, thanks for the replies! personally, I'm flying somewhere for the first time in my life) At first they wanted to go to Goa, but my friends dissuaded me and advised me to go to Thailand) I understood about the first-aid kit! It's just that if you lie somewhere completely ... then you can hit the road to Egypt ... but here you want to try all sorts of differences, and see interesting things ... well, as I understand it, there will also be an opportunity to relax on the beach?
аватар Amir1
depending on how to make a program, but you need to make it just for you. There are no standards here, all people are different and they are interested in different things. For all the time I have never 100% repeated the program with tourists.
аватар Amir1
especially since Ukrainians are much more comfortable in this regard. We do not tie them to the hotel. If you are going to the islands for a couple of days and then returning, then you do not need to pay for an empty room in Pattaya during your absence. And this is not a small cost savings.

help me compose)
аватар _Ksu_
Tupodupa, I would still advise Koh Samui. At the expense of the first-aid kit - they have already written above. Be sure to always take wherever you go, even to Thailand, even to Switzerland. Especially in Europe everything is according to the recipe. This is extra. difficulties.
аватар Pachok
A first aid kit with you is a must.
In Thai pharmacies, not always and not everything is what we are accustomed to. Swallow unfamiliar medicines - you must not have any contraindications and allergies.
If it comes to going to the hospital, then the situation is different: they will take tests, and they will prescribe and give out suitable drugs.
аватар Amir1
there is one more thing to remember. Bacteria in Thailand are often completely different from ours. Therefore, our medicines are almost always helpless in front of them. Buy only in Thailand.
аватар Pachok
In addition to bacteria, there are other problems - for example, with pressure. I would never take unfamiliar drugs for heart or pressure.
It is better to take plaster, coal, rehydron, panthenol from home. The previous time they could not buy the usual "Panthenol" in any Thai pharmacy, they offered only children's from diaper rash. The pharmacist sold us Dermavat cream for burns, of course it helped. But, when I read about this drug at home, my hair stood on end! I would use it only in case of severe allergies, and not in any way to replace the harmless panthenol.
аватар Tupodupa
and what is there in Tae from bacteria you need to buy)? otherwise they intimidate here ... that almost vaccinations should be done before the trip!
аватар Pachok
Vaccinations are not needed.
It is better not to swim in the pools.
If you get poisoned by something, then our antibiotics for poisoning, as a rule, are not suitable. Coal, smecta and rehydron are suitable.
You are more likely to get poisoned in a restaurant with tablecloths (especially if the owners are not Thais) than in street eateries.
Do not order cocktails with ice in unverified places, it happens that ice is made from tap water, and it is unsuitable for drinking.
But these are all extreme cases.

And tanning products with a decent protection factor - MANDATORY !!!, even if it seems cloudy.
аватар Tupodupa
thanks a lot! I’ll take everything into account!)), otherwise relatives are very worried because of the unsanitary conditions of the type) they are sent to Europe)
аватар Pachok
There is unsanitary conditions! :) There are no problems from it :)
What is a huge plus of Thailand is the cooking traditions that exclude the use of stale products. Only fresh and only right now. Prepare to eat immediately, "for tomorrow" do not leave anything.
Rooms in hotels, bathrooms are clean, even in 3 *. True, the most "my" dirty hotel was just in Pattaya, but here, most likely, my disgust for prostitutes who soaked in a herd in the pool in the morning after the labors of the military. Hotel "Loma" - do not recommend. Yes, I would not recommend Pattaya at all, but for the first time and for the purpose of entertainment and excursions, it may come up. The sea is not good. To a more or less normal beach to cut 40 minutes by boat.
аватар Amir1
about unsanitary conditions, I would argue. I sit on the curb in Thailand in faded trousers, I sit for half an hour, I drink beer, then I get up and there are no marks on my trousers. They are clean. So we sat on the edge in Vienna, Europe thought, we won't get dirty. Yeah, the pants had to be washed. The thing is that in Europe they think about appearance and not about cleanliness, so everything looks great there, but in fact everything is very dirty. And in Thailand, they think that everything is clean and absolutely do not bother with appearance. Therefore, everything looks very ordinary, but it is very clean.

From personal experience, I can recommend purchasing various herbs in Thailand. Our daughter got sick - she began to cough, we bought cough medicine at the pharmacy, it didn’t help, but when we went to Kwai we bought weed - she drank it for 1 day and took it off. We didn’t stock up right away, I had to ask friends who then went to Tai. And in pharmacies they have a list of three columns - Russian, English, Thai, just show with your finger what you need and from what. Good luck.
