Next time I would take a hotel in the Buddha Hill area - this is where hotels such as Kozi Beach (north) and Pattaya Park (south) are not far from the center and the sea is nearby, although in the north you have to go down the steps to the sea. The hotel in Pattaya itself is not important, no one spends time in it. The main thing is the proximity to public transport and food. This is Jomtien Beach Road to Chayaprik Street, 1st, 2nd Street and Naklua. Only on Naklua not near the sea on Wongamat beach, but closer to the road. There are still not bad hotels on soi 22 Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya), this soi is located between the second and third streets. How to combine the sea and excursions? Very simple. After long excursions, we always recommend going to a nearby island (30 minutes by boat for 30 baht one way), and at the end of your vacation, go for 3-4 days to Samet or, best of all, to Koh Chang.

There are tuk-tuks next to the hotel. Go also, to the right, to the city. You will see a large bridge crossing the road along which you eat. Go out and to the left, towards the sea, to the pier. Every hour there are ferries to Koh Lan for 30 baht per person. And it is best to ask Russian tourists at the hotel - there are plenty of them.

Only from the hotel you need to walk to the main road 600 m. - this is a tourist street, there are cafes, massage parlors, souvenir shops, exchange offices and everything else you need for relaxation. The "remoteness" of the hotel from the road is more likely a plus than a minus, so there is no traffic noise and the atmosphere is cleaner. There is no desire to go to the main road from the hotel - other taxis are always on duty near the hotel, but it will be more expensive, there are moto taxis - it's cheaper. The pier in Pattaya is only in the center, and there the sea is very dirty, next to the beach there is a central route that needs to be overcome on the way to the beach and back, for some reason travel agencies refer to it as a promenade. There are moorings far from the center 20 min. riding a tuk-tuk. I think that you can take other hotels located near the Pattaya Park Hotel.

There are no problems with transport to the center!!! right at the exit of the hotel there are a lot of taxis willing to take you even to the center, even to the pier. For a wheelbarrow, and this is from 8-10 people they took 100-150b (you need to bargain), if there is no company, go up to the roadway in 5 minutes, there any tuk-tuk will take you to the center for 10b per person. The beach is quite acceptable, right behind the fence hotel territory (the so-called road by Amir: two cars cannot pass, it’s already any courtyard road in our understanding, I didn’t even understand Amir at first, but I remembered that I really saw sometimes single bikes), hotel guests mostly lie on mats or towels directly on the sand, 50m to the left under a canopy sun loungers (60b for 2 + table) and deck chairs (100b).

Furama is a great hotel, we were there last winter, interior, breakfast - everything is fine. But the sea near the hotel did not please, neither the beach itself near the hotel, nor plus 300-500 meters to the right and left ... The sea is frankly dirty! We bathed only once, and tied up with this business. Saved trips to the beaches on Koh Lan, nakraynak, morning or evening pools at the hotel. To the city center about 20 minutes by tuk-tuk (far for my taste). The pier is right there.
