Please advise the hotel
Please advise where in Pattaya it is better to choose a hotel? We want it to be closer to the pier, to the city center, and so that you can swim near the hotel. Is it possible to combine all this?

The taste and color .... I lived in Jomtien, a good area, but 15 minutes to the center and the sea is across the road. Next time I would take a hotel in the Buddha Hill area - this is where hotels such as Kozi Beach (north) and Pattaya Park (south) are not far from the center and the sea is nearby, although in the north you have to go down the steps to the sea. This is for budget hotels.

the best Ambassador. I was in Pattaya 3 times the cleanest and the sea is 20 meters. Near the sea is cheap and delicious coffees. But the center is far away. Yes, there is teeming with dirt and there is nothing to see. Yes, and we are going for the sake of the sea. True, the hotel there must be taken 4 to 3 sucks. But my girlfriend lived at 3 and was happy. There and in the hotel you only sleep

That's where you don't need to in any scenario - this is the Ambassador !!!. "dirt is teeming and there is nothing to see" - if you have such an opinion, then why did you go 3 times ??? If you don’t print money yourself :) then 3 is enough with your head, or even 2. 23122005- It’s almost impossible to combine proximity to the pier and swimming, but proximity to the pier makes it easier to travel to Koh Lan island - wonderful beaches and the sea. IMHO is the best option - Centre. In the morning on excursions, if not, then to the islands until 15 o'clock, rested, and in the evening a leisurely walk around the city.

what nonsense you write. although everyone has their own idea of u200bu200brest, why go to the islands. if in the Ambassador I was already swimming in the sea at 6 in the morning. clean water. better only in Pukhet. I was there too. from the center for some reason everyone goes to swim in Ambassador. And to be extremely honest. There is enough dirt everywhere and in the center too. But I repeat this is my opinion. Everyone decides for himself where he is better

The sea is just one of the components of recreation in such a multifaceted country as the Kingdom of Siam. If the sea is the main criterion when choosing a country, then for example, from Tver, it is cheaper and faster to get to Egypt - and the sea is steeper there.

The sea in Pattaya is dirty everywhere, including in the Ambassador. Only from the Ambassador it is extremely inconvenient to visit Pattaya. The hotel in Pattaya itself is not important, no one spends time in it. The main thing is the proximity to public transport and food. This is Jomtien Beach Road to Chayaprik Street, 1st, 2nd Street and Naklua. Only on Naklua not near the sea on Wongamat beach, but closer to the road. There are still not bad hotels on soi 22 Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya), this soi is located between the second and third streets. How to combine the sea and excursions? Very simple. After long excursions, we always recommend going to a nearby island (30 minutes by boat for 30 baht one way), and at the end of your vacation, go for 3-4 days to Samet or, best of all, to Koh Chang.

We are offered Furama Jomtien, so I’m thinking if we can swim near the hotel and how far it will be to the pier and the city center
аватар 4yuka
From Furama about 20 minutes to the center by tuk-tuk. The sea is across the road.
аватар SerjKras
you can swim. and although the respected Amir says that the sea is "dirty" everywhere, this does not mean at all that the sea is dirty, it is just unclear from the raised sand, and the color of the sand is yellow, not white like on the islands. according to sanitary indicators, the sea in the city is quite safe.
аватар 23122005
it is clear that you will have to go to the center, but where is the pier located in relation to this hotel? (Furama I mean)
аватар 4yuka
There are tuk-tuks next to the hotel. Go also, to the right, to the city. You will see a large bridge crossing the road along which you eat. Go out and to the left, towards the sea, to the pier. Every hour there are ferries to Koh Lan for 30 baht per person. And it is best to ask Russian tourists at the hotel - there are plenty of them.

"according to sanitary indicators, the sea in the city is quite safe." I recently saw these figures. Swim to your health, but without me. The water looks clear. But a drop of potassium cyanide does not make the water in a glass look dirty.
As for Furama, I fully support it. The hotel is excellent and the access from it to any place is normal. It is located on Jomtien Beach Road between Boonkanjana and Chaiyaphruek, closer to the center. And there are tuk-tuks. I recently did an inspection of this hotel. The latest photos are at the link below.

By the way, look at the photo of the beach. See how many people are swimming? Why do you think? Because Amir is lying or for some other reason? I didn’t overwrite bathing people in Photoshop, honestly :))))
About how to get to the pier. The simplest thing is for someone to conduct and show for the first time. Call us and we will show you. It's free.

In November 2009, I was vacationing at the Pattaya Park 3 * hotel. Good hotel. The hotel is quite pulling on its 3 *. Clean, tidy, lots of greenery. Good food. The beach is free, clean, next to the hotel, 70 meters, the sea is clean, we swam with pleasure. Free space on the beach "more than enough." There are beach and water activities. To get to the center by "tuk-tuk" 7-10 minutes. , and there is a pier. Only from the hotel you need to walk to the main road 600 m. - this is a tourist street, there are cafes, massage parlors, souvenir shops, exchange offices and everything else you need for relaxation. The "remoteness" of the hotel from the road is more likely a plus than a minus, so there is no traffic noise and the atmosphere is cleaner. There is no desire to go to the main road from the hotel - other taxis are always on duty near the hotel, but it will be more expensive, there are moto taxis - it's cheaper. The pier in Pattaya is only in the center, and there the sea is very dirty, next to the beach there is a central route that needs to be overcome on the way to the beach and back, for some reason travel agencies refer to it as a promenade. There are moorings far from the center 20 min. riding a tuk-tuk. I think that you can take other hotels located near the Pattaya Park Hotel.

The purity of the water in the sea in this place is obviously due to the fact that this hotel is located behind the peninsula that separates it from the center. Look at the map and I think that other hotels located beyond the peninsula will suit you. You will not be able to combine: the center, the pier and the clear sea - I guarantee you this, but the clear sea and the pier and the center are not far away, the option I have mentioned above is quite suitable. Have a nice holiday. I will answer any questions.

Buyvol2, Why should tourists "powder" their brains? Yes, the Pattaya Park hotel is quite decent, But it doesn’t have its own beach, umbrellas and sun loungers are paid. From the hotel to the road where 10-batt tuk-tuks go at least 800 meters. the hotel costs only taxis. A big plus of the hotel is the nearby Aquapark.

The water park is on site, costs 100 baht for everyone. Pattaya Park is a good hotel, there are many cafes nearby, the beach is "not across the road", and the road is not so far away.

Amir. Cool pictures, I wanted to go to Furama.

I also support Pattaya Park. But getting to the city is really worse there. The sea, like everywhere else. Beach across the road (path). You can sometimes ride a bike along it from Jomtien.

Quite the center, i.e. next to the pier, and the beach where you can really swim in Pattaya are not compatible. As far as I understand, there is no beach in Pattaya hotels - it is municipal. We were in Pattaya Park - great location! There are no problems with transport to the center!!! right at the exit of the hotel there are a lot of taxis willing to take you even to the center, even to the pier. For a wheelbarrow, and this is from 8-10 people they took 100-150b (you need to bargain), if there is no company, go up to the roadway in 5 minutes, there any tuk-tuk will take you to the center for 10b per person. The beach is quite acceptable, right behind the fence hotel territory (the so-called road by Amir: two cars cannot pass, it’s already any courtyard road in our understanding, I didn’t even understand Amir at first, but I remembered that I really saw sometimes single bikes), hotel guests mostly lie on mats or towels directly on the sand, 50m to the left under a canopy sun loungers (60b for 2 + table) and deck chairs (100b).

Furama is a great hotel, we were there last winter, interior, breakfast - everything is fine. But the sea near the hotel did not please, neither the beach itself near the hotel, nor plus 300-500 meters to the right and left ... The sea is frankly dirty! We bathed only once, and tied up with this business. Saved trips to the beaches on Koh Lan, nakraynak, morning or evening pools at the hotel. To the city center about 20 minutes by tuk-tuk (far for my taste). The pier is right there.
аватар Oleksii64
Another touch to tuk-tuks: no one writes, but there are really traffic jams in Pattaya. Where 20 minutes - we drove for more than an hour, constantly or there is no traffic jam - I can’t say, but even 20 minutes. on a minibus one way - a bit too much.
аватар Amir1
traffic jams in the high season are always from 17:00 to 23:00 approximately.
