In this sense, Pattaya disappointed me - I did not get enough of the sea and still feel a sense of quiet disappointment. Yes, there are islands - but the path to them is tiring. So what really matters is the priority - spending time on excursions or basking on the white sand. I would choose the latter - it's all subjective.

The water is dirty, excursions are a miserable semblance of Pattaya, there is nothing to do, there is NO bounty !!!! Phuket in this regard, of course, is much better. We also liked it there. But we were only there for 3 days. In the end, I also wanted to go home - it was boring. There is never a dull moment in Pattaya. But for lovers of only the sea, in this case, you need to do a combined tour: half of the rest of Pattaya, where the hotel is not important, only excursions are important. In between, you can go to the island of Koh Lan, 30 minutes by boat. By the way, the sea there is much cleaner than Koh Samui and Patong in Phuket. In general, in Phuket, I liked the water only on Yanui beach, not far from Rawai. The second half of the holiday book a great hotel on Koh Chang. I have already looked at almost all of Thailand and this island for me personally is the only place where I can feel relaxation, where there is a bounty. Near it there is also Koh Kood. They say it is even better there, because the water on Koh Chang is also not ideal, but cleaner than Koh Samui and Patong. But we will go to Koh Kood only next weekend, and they will not be earlier than in 2 months. This, of course, is my personal, subjective opinion.

A flight to Koh Samui would have been 3 times more expensive, which is why the bus was chosen, although it is also not cheap in VIP seats. But 12 hours in an ordinary chair with a child somehow did not want to go. I would not go to Phuket by bus due to the fact that the plane is faster and cheaper than the bus.

If you compare these two places, then I liked Pattaya much more. DO NOT BELIEVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK vacationers in Phuket!!! And the differences are as follows: 1) Pattaya is more European groomed, clean, many flowers, a beautiful promenade, which cannot be said about Phuket (I traveled around the whole island on a scooter, the situation is the same on all beaches, Karon is more or less decent, but also far from ideal!) 2) the local population is very arrogant and overzealous, the prices are CRAZY for everything, a taxi ride from Patong to Karon is 600 rubles. there and back, and it takes exactly 7 minutes to go, no one is cheaper, their own mafia. . 3) cafes are very different from Patayevsky - these are dirty vipers in which they will take you like in a chic restaurant - on average, dinner will cost 1000 rubles. for two. 4) Bangla Road in Phuket is a pathetic imitation of Walking Street in Pattaya 5) disgusting and smelly streets, constantly rushing with sewage, which in Phuket flows along open sewers, garbage dumps in the alleys, cockroaches everywhere.
