Excursion to the river KVAI
We are going to Tai for the first time in March of this year to the Botany Beach Resort 3 * hotel, so the excursion to Kwai from Sasha tour is very interesting.
Shopping at the floating market - what about the prices? Is it worth buying there? Is there something interesting that is not in Pattaya? Or is there something cheaper out there? And what can you say about the tour from Sasha tour "Kwai VIP 2012". How much more interesting in relation to the other two excursions to Kwai offered by this travel agency. Is the tour separate from other TOs? Large or small groups? How long does it take to visit the Erawan waterfall?
And what would you advise about what you need to take with you, what are the features of this excursion.

You don’t need to buy anything on the floating market - time is running out, a full boat of people will not wait while you are bargaining, and without bargaining, the point in shopping is lost ...

Do not forget chargers for photo-video equipment, you can bring alcohol (if you are interested). And so it's standard.

Not to mention that the prices there are much steeper than in Pataica!
We didn’t go on tour from Sasha, but our operator Big Holliday took us for a ride with a group of seven people, trying to be on time before hefty buses rolled up, and it was great, we avoided the flea market even in the radon spring. I don't think you can think of anything else.
The tour is interesting, perhaps you will be taken to Ayutthaya, that would be great. Our guide was pretty Lena, the road is long, and she managed to tell us a lot.
I will add that it’s not bad, when going to the country for the first time, to read a couple of guidebooks in order to know more about the country, it’s worth it!

Thank you for your answer, but I would like to know about this tour "Kwai VIP 2012" from Sasha tour. According to reviews on the Internet, it seems to be a good travel agency. Yes, it is located near the hotel. Price read them, but there is not very detailed written. If not difficult, please write who went on this tour.

I went from my operator on this trip, I really liked it. Enough time was allotted to the waterfalls to climb there and swim there. I haven’t been to the floating market, but I went to Ayutthaya, I really liked it there. Incredibly interesting temples. And the city itself is beautiful and pleasant. Rafting on the Kwai River was also very pleasant, in short, the whole trip is simply unforgettable. I recommend taking this tour.

Went 3 times already on this tour from different operators. Excursions to Kwai are 90% the same for all operators, some transfers between each other are possible, but the set of objects itself will be the same. The main difference is in spending the night on the river. There are options right on the rafts on the water, or you can also on the shore in ordinary houses, it’s better to find out right away, it will no longer be possible to change on the spot. Personally, I liked spending the night on the water much more, exotic, great in the morning when everything around is in thick fog. Well, the price on the street will be slightly lower than that of the hotel guide. It makes no sense to buy something during the tour, the prices there are initially too high, so you simply won’t have time to go down normally. It is better to go to the same store in Patai for several days in a row and bargain, on the 3rd-4th day the price will be completely different than the starting one. Or, without suffering at all, go to Lukdot and buy everything smaller there, it will be a little more expensive than in tents (but this is if you bargain hard) and without bargaining it will be cheaper than near the hotel. In addition, cards are accepted for payment. Well, in the market, it’s better to buy yourself a couple of servings of coconut cakes, the locals bake them right on the boat near the market. Ask your guide, he will tell you. Nowhere else

You won't be able to try them anywhere else.
Well, the less people, the more comfortable it will be. Especially if you are really half an hour ahead of big buses.
It makes no sense to swim at Ayutaya, which is part of Kwai, of course you can go there, but there will be no sense, this is a separate good excursion for the whole day and you won’t be able to see everything normally.
Well, you need to take everything with you like on a short hike, after all, you eat in the jungle: exercises, towels, swimwear, comfortable clothes and shoes (certainly not in heels) and money) there will be no supermarkets along the way, only small shops with chips , water and other small things.
About Kwai VIP 2012 - it’s unlikely that someone will tell you something, on the street the names can change even if you arrive every day now, and this will already be Kwai 2013 and they will always be able to say that this is another excursion))))

There, by the way, they bring to the pharmacy (near the radon springs), drugs from all sorts of things. Friends bought drugs, used them, and when we rushed to Tai, they gave us an empty jar so that we could find the same. Figushki! In any case, none of the pharmacies in Phuket could find this. So they put our brother on Kwai ...

Take comfortable shoes with you...this will come in handy especially when you go to Erawan. So I went in neoprene slippers (you can still walk on reefs in Egypt) and if it wasn’t for these slippers, I wouldn’t even climb the waterfall to the second level, since the whole road there is covered with snags, ledges, stones. In simple flip flops, you can reach a maximum of level 3, and at the very top, I myself am beauty.

Well, from the whole variety of excursions to Kwai, it is best to take Kwai + Erawan. There are also all sorts of VIP, LUX, but in my opinion and according to the reviews that I read when we first went to Tai, this is a waste of money. And Qui + Erawan is a fairly complete and all-encompassing interesting excursion.

Yes, KWAY is a good tour, we liked it, but in our opinion, the Royal Adventures tour is still better - the route is the same to the farmer's house and then your own route. Based on the results of visiting 2 excursions, advice: the 2nd is better. Travel agency I.Y.O. in Thailand
аватар vpancenko
We went to Kwai with a visit to a waterfall, 2 pharmacies, radon baths, an elephant village, a snake farm, a botanical garden, a Buddhist temple - all this from SayamaTravel. We spent the night in houses on the water, it turned out for two days. We traveled by big bus. Amazingly beautiful. Take batteries and more, they do not work for a long time. Batteries can not be charged, there are kerosene lamps in the houses. On the way, at one of the stops, we bought local wine, on the advice of our guide Alena, it turned out to taste normal and looks like fruit and berry wine. They were on the floating market, it's not worth buying. At the pharmacy, buy toothpaste in a blue jar, very good. Crystal from the smell of sweat. And local money with you and more, just in case. Good luck

I agree that excursions, and especially to the River Kwai, are almost the same for everyone. Often the only difference is the price. I am not talking about tour operators, because the prices are definitely higher. Our tour. The company works with tourists from the CIS in Egypt and Thailand. So, if you need inexpensive excursions, or advice, please contact us.

You can visit the excursion on the river. Kwai with a 6 year old?
аватар Oleksii64
It can be possible, but is it necessary? Early rise, a very rich program in which a child of this age has little interest. Yes, it's just physically hard.
And you torture the child and spoil the trip around.
аватар firsova7
And which excursions are suitable for a child of 6 years old? I would like to know where they can be purchased (your coordinates in Pattaya) so that it is reliable and not at inflated prices. thank.
аватар Oleksii64
I think a child (and adults too :) will be interested in Nong-Nuch. Lots of elephants, great show program with them.
аватар andreyvip
For my part, I would recommend that the child go on such a program: as a rule, the package includes a Crocodile farm, there is also a rock garden and a small menagerie on the same territory. At the end of the vacation, I would leave the tiger farm, here the option is closer to the zoo. In the middle of the day, around 15-16 hours, I would visit Mini-Siam (a miniature attraction park) on my own; I think he will like it. Nong-nuch is also quite suitable for a trip, just take a meal with you, otherwise there are a lot of people there so as not to stand for water or small food in long lines. You also need to go to the Oceanarium on your own, he will definitely like it there. The snake farm is a show and a serpentarium in one excursion, it already depends on how the child looks at them, if he is not afraid and he is interested in them, then go.
аватар andreyvip
I forgot about the Water Park and the entertainment town next to the Pattaya Park hotel. I think these entertainments will be enough for the child, all the other excursions for the whole day will exhaust you and tire him, and he will not be interested in all this
аватар V.A.S.
You can go to Samet with a child, it’s easy and they will ride on a boat.
аватар V.A.S.
And Mini Siam at the age of six is generally great! It's like a toy! The previous commenter is absolutely right.
аватар V.A.S.
But the tiger zoo, for me, is better to replace with Khao Kheo, there the younger animals are generally tame, they are allowed to touch, the binturong cubs are almost like kittens!
аватар andreyvip
everything is the same with the cubs at the tiger farm: feed the tiger cub with milk from a bottle and treat the kasul with bean pods and many other small living creatures that you can stroke or treat. But I would not recommend options with boats, in my opinion it is quite dangerous for 6 years old, provided that the Thais themselves drive a scooter rather aggressively, a child can get pretty sick to the same place, but you choose

I always turn only to Dolphin TOUR, there have never been any problems, when buying some excursions there are good discounts, and on the excursions themselves you can see an advantageous difference from others, more comfortable buses, a more interesting guide, food and accommodation are always super, I’m such a person, everything I compare, communicate with people on excursions, and it always turns out to be better with us, we never took any additional payments anywhere - it's always all inclusive .... in general, some pluses! here is Vyacheslav’s phone number 0805220546, tell me what hotel you are in and the number, he comes to you, discusses your wishes, advises what you need, what you don’t need, how they feed you, etc ... writes out vouchers, pay and that’s it! the vouchers indicate the time when you need to go to the reception and a person will meet you in a car and take you to the gathering place for all tourists. In general, you will not regret it, I advise everyone.
аватар gennadevna
FOR CHILDREN: the safari mix excursion will be interesting, we took it on the Dolphin TOUR, from Vyacheslav, it includes 3 zoos (KhaoKheo, Sriracha and some other), + a temple of 3 religions, a museum of heaven and hell, and an oyster farm + pineapple plantation . I gave something like 1500-1700, I don’t remember already because we always take a lot of excursions at once and make good discounts. In general, it’s busy all day, a very rich program, food all day, then lunch, various tastings, cold bottled water and wet wipes for free all day in the bus, and it all ends in the evening on a pineapple farm - I still have such delicious pineapples never eat anywhere...
аватар V.A.S.
And you weren't "thrown" with a pineapple plantation? Heartiest congratulations!
We were on such an excursion about three years ago, the cubs were very sorry, it would be better if they and their mother were in silence, such crumbs. Since then, we prefer to wander on all sorts of excursions on our own, so that without haste and for as long as you want.
And I will never recommend a temple with heaven and hell to children - it’s very scary! :))
аватар gennadevna
yes, in my opinion, it all depends on the organizer ... we had many children on the tour, everyone liked it, the museum of heaven and hell is not at all scary but somewhat comical, the temple is simply interesting in itself, the pineapple plantation and the oyster farm are very interesting and informative. .. The zoos with performances are excellent, the tiger show was especially impressive - emotions were over the edge .. For lunch they were taken to a good restaurant, a very varied table with many dishes of European cuisine (first, two second and salad, after all dessert, roast tasting was included in lunch and crocodile skewers). We were very pleased with this day spent with the Dolphin-Tour company
