Let's go wild! Give me a couple of tips!
We read reviews about Thailand and decided it was time to visit this country! We are going wild in early August, 2 people!
Estimated route: Kyiv-Bangkok (2 days) - Pattaya (5 days) - beach vacation Samui or Phuket 5 days (we can’t decide).
Help, please advice!
1. Flight. Aerosvit costs about $800! Can you find something cheaper?
2. How and where to book hotels?
3.Where can I buy tickets for domestic flights?
4. What hotels can you recommend in these cities? Bangkok and Pattaya can be 3 stars, and on the islands 4-5 stars?
THX.

Try flying through Abu Dhabi. Very convenient docking 1-2 hours. And the plane from the Emirates is magnificent. Hotel booking on booking.com sawadsee.com. It is not necessary to fly to Koh Samui or Phuket. Not far from Pattaya is Koh Chang. Travel by car and ferry. To rest good. Been here 5 times already and I don't think it will be the last.

1. I won’t tell you here, I’m from Russia))) I can only note that at the moment you can fly from MSC 2 times cheaper: P
2. Hotels in the BKK and Pattaya can not be booked, as a rule, there are always plenty of places. Come and settle where you like. Hotels on the islands - yes, better in a couple of days, because. there are fewer hotels on the islands, but there are enough people) But then again - we flew to Thailand - and already decide on the spot, listen to the reviews of the locals just :)
3. There, on the spot. Travel agencies are everywhere.
4. In the BKK "Bayoke Suite" there is a very nice little three-ruble note: well, everything is wonderful there - food in a restaurant on the top floor of this skyscraper, and the very feeling is ... to be at SUCH a height ... next to the same tall monster buildings. ..ohhhh... it's something... an unforgettable feeling, it must be experienced!!! And next to Baiyoke Sky ... which is 2 times higher ... fantastic, in general.
As for Pattaya ... three rubles ... depending on what you expect from Pattaya. If you want to hang out more - choose Camelot, it is in the very center of nightlife. The breakfast there is excellent for 3 stars, and you can dine there for money, and by the way, they cook very well for dinner, and very cheap! If you understand that you will often spend time at sea ..

... then you have a direct road to Pattaya Park, just choose the one with a sea view, as it is called there ... Tower, it seems. Jomtien Orhid is also a good hotel in terms of location - 10 minutes to Pattaya Park beach. on foot, as much on a tuk-tuk to the center.
As for the hotels on the islands... Look... can you actually go to Koh Chang first? There are a lot of emotions, there are plenty of good hotels ... maybe you will have enough for your first trip. Plus - a trip to Kanchanaburi with an overnight stay in the jungle on rafts - and that's it, a complete extravaganza is provided;)
I hope I didn't bore you too much? )))) If SUDDENLY, RANDOMLY, there are some questions - write))))

about the island of chang - not far -5 hours by car and 30-40 minutes by ferry. hotel chang prao resort -3 stars. but 4 pulls - if you take a bungalow or deluxe or building S. on Koh Samui - chaweng buri resort. in Phuket - kata beach is best. in BKK-biyok sky is a chic hotel. Once on vacation, you can pamper your loved ones. In Pattaya, many people say Jomtien beach, we like Aisavan-PULLMAN in the north. ABOUT CAMELOT HAVE HEARD THAT IS AN UNIMPORTANT HOTEL.

Baiyoke Sky is good only after the 45th floor, but the prices are already exorbitant, and up to the 45th floor it's a nightmare.
In the South China Sea, in addition to Koh Chang (it is small) and Koh Samui (the largest here), there is also Samet Island. In general, look at the map, otherwise you have a scatter from Koh Samui to Phuket ... where it is off-season in summer (not terrible, but still). Again, from Pattaya to Koh Samui is closer. Phuket is more lively, but in the opinion of many, and I also confirm this, it looks like Crimea. Koh Samui is more exotic and green, there is more relaxation. After a fun Pattaya better here or see above. Personally, I think it makes no sense for you to fly to Andaman from the South China Sea for no reason. In the summer there is no most luxurious excursion - Similan. It is better to go there in winter.
By stardom - do not chase, it is conditional there, in Thailand in hotels it's a different matter. Figuratively speaking, hotels are divided into two types - Thai-style and European. So choose, but listen to the reviews, but not to emotions, but to facts. "Thai" hotels, if you are not giants and do not suffer from claustrophobia, are very exotic. And European ones - they are also in Africa ... standard, as elsewhere.
Yes, if Phuket is still in bulk in the summer, you can not book anything, except for a few of the most popular, but also the noisiest.

They lived in Baika on the 21st stage - nothing nightmarish - it's nonsense !!! rooms and service are beyond praise. food - excellent. Chang Island - the second largest after Phuket in the Kingdom of Thailand. The island is very exotic and beautiful, the island has 5 waterfalls -beautiful! silence ... and there are differences in stardom. not the season, and sometimes more expensive than Samuyev.

I have never been to Thailand! I definitely go without travel agencies (they are more expensive and will not have as many vivid sensations as from a savage trip)
Please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere
1. I haven’t decided on the flight yet. I’m taking tickets for August 9, I’m booking the Bayoke sky hotel for 2 days on their website or on agoda! (What should I visit in Bangkok for the first time ??? and wouldn’t two days be enough?)
2. Transfer to Pattaya. I think by bus (how to get to the bus station? I understand they go from there). In Pattaya 2-3 days!
3. Moving to KO CHANG. There 6 days.
Tell me how best to book right away or is it better to choose a couple of hotels, but will be determined on the spot ???
THX.

The flight, if earlier, can be ordered by Aerosvit and for 600 c.u. fly for one. If you like transplants - try Arabia, well, or to Moscow if you wish. Bayok sky in the very center (but a rather peculiar hotel - a lot of Indians and Chinese, the atmosphere is similar). Go to booking.com - this hotel may be cheaper. Domestic flight is the cheapest as for me - Air Asia (book directly from the site - Visa payment). Buses to Pattaya are definitely cheaper, but many times longer, you lose a lot of precious time. Take a taxi from the airport - on average up to 1000 baht per car, an hour and a half and you are in Pattaya. Take 4 days to Pattaya, there is something to see and how to spend time, though don’t count on a beach holiday. Koh Chang - for a relaxing beach holiday without too much movement.
аватар raborigen
For PTT hotels, if you need movement, you can see the hotels of the Istini network - everything is in the center + inexpensive and normal service - see stories about Tai.

In early August, there is nothing to do in Phuket.
I will add another site for hotels:
www.sawadee.com I usually book there. There is still a lot of any information on transport, etc.
Domestic flights:
Air Asia www.airasia. com is a low-cost airline with good prices, especially for promotions, but they do not fly to Koh Samui.
"Bangkokair" www.bangkokair.com - more expensive, a one-way ticket to Koh Samui per person is approximately $100.
Dimon, if I were you, I would leave Bangkok for the end of my trip. This is convenient for many reasons. For example, a transfer from Ko Chang will take you at least 5 hours, and after that a long flight home. Usually everyone buys souvenirs and fruits to take home in Bangkok before flying.
I offer you this option:
1. Arrival in Bangkok, immediately moving to Pattaya. On the ground floor of the Suvanapum airport there is a wonderful bus that goes directly to the PTT and costs as much as 110 baht (about $ 3). Pattaya 2-3 days, purely for excursions
2. Transfer to Koh Chang or flight to Koh Samui. If you pull more expensive transport, then choose Koh Samui - there are quiet places for relaxation, and there is something to see, and some kind of traffic is also present in places.
3. Flight to Bangkok. BKK 2 days - Royal Palace, Wat Arum and various Buddhas.

Hotels, of course, can be chosen on the spot. But personally, I hate to trudge in the heat after the road in search of housing. It is better to spend this time on more enjoyable activities - sitting in the sea, drinking cocktails, eating your favorite Thai dishes.
Aerosvit has more than 800 for your dates. Try to call UIA, they have a joint flight with Etihad through Abu Dhabi, we flew like this last time, we liked it more than a direct AeroSvit flight. You can look at the Etihad itself www.etihadairways.com, but it is usually more expensive there than in UIA. You can contact the ticket offices, there may be good tickets for your dates.
аватар D1mon
Pachok thanks for the advice about Bangkok, we'll probably do that, leave it for a "snack".
In Aerosvit on our date the ticket price is $830, and UIA + Etihad $900.
At the Kiyavia ticket office they said that there might be more tickets via Moscow by Aeroflot for $700
аватар Pachok
I receive a travel mailing list, where the Travel Professional Group operator always offers air tickets from Kyiv to Bangkok for 700 USD.
Literally: "Air tickets
Kyiv - Bangkok - Kyiv airline Aerosvit
for 650 c.u. adult and child 560 c.u.
on 2.06, 4.06
for all other dates 700 c.u. adult and child 610 c.u."
Try to call, maybe they will sell separately from the tour.

Tell me, where else can I find cheap tickets to Thailand?
I looked at a bunch of sites, there are from 57 tr. prices for two.
Want to fly from Siberia (we live in Omsk), in September.
thanks in advance.
аватар Lanfirchik
I called the Travel Professional Group, they don’t sell hotel tickets, they say that they sell only a flight package for 750 + accommodation (like a package, as I understand it. This is Aerosvit. I found another company that sells tickets separately, there are 740 tickets for September I called Aerosvit and there it is generally 1700 cu... Maybe someone will be helped by infa, who eats like a savage.
аватар svtol
and what company-another?
аватар petrtov18
try through Abu Dhabi with UIA. I flew in the spring. And it's cheaper and the plane is better.
