Rayong is not a tourist place. It is located 60 km from Pattaya. There is no proper beach. There are practically no tourist places, as well as agencies. There are local Thai cafes, they are not a problem in any part of Thailand. There is a pier from which boats leave for the island of Samet. Mostly tourists go there on vacation. Don't go to Rayong. There is nothing to do there.

And in Pattaya you can visit interesting places: an aquarium, a zoo, parks, shows, a sea safari around the islands, a water park with attractions and others. You can also sometimes leave the child in the playroom in the Central Festival. Our loves to hang out there for the whole day. And it costs only 100 baht for the whole day. There are no cheap cafes very close, but the proximity of tuk-tuks decides everything. For 10 baht you can get everywhere.
