Personally, I would advise looking at hotels either just south of Patai, but no further than the end of Jamtien Beach, or just north of Patai. And the sea is nearby (although the purity of the sea is not brilliant, but quite tolerable) and close enough to all the city's evening entertainment, shops, bars, discos.

Hello ! I would recommend The Green Park Resort. Large area, lots of greenery. After visiting for a week, I recommend going to the islands for a couple of days. I really like Koh Chang island. It is a bit far from Patay but the island is big. you can take a motorbike and together go around all the waterfalls of the island. Also in the reserve, you can arrange with a guide for a day hike in the dogs.

I forgot to add a lot of cafes on the island. For example, compared to Koh Samet, food is cheaper. Staying on the island will cost you less than in Pattaya. Also on the island there are budget excursions to wild islands.

All hotels were chosen for themselves, for a trip in June 2014, reviews were read - re-read, all hotels except those marked above, with balconies, but in the "Tropicana" there are "boar" rooms without balconies, I can also name hotels on the 2nd street "Grande" salt" without balconies, but there was a construction site nearby, "Caesar Pelas" 3 *, but I would prefer the hotel to be closer to Beach Street (Beach Road), well blown by the breeze from the sea.

The Camelot 3 * hotel is small, cozy, located a 10-minute walk from the pier and Walking Street walking street or the Welcome Plaza 3 * hotel is located on the second street near two shopping centers and the night bazaar. Definitely need to consider hotels on Jamtien beach. You can easily get to the center and to the pier. If you don’t care about clubs and entertainment, then it’s better to look at hotels on Na Jamtien beach. From there it is close to the Military Beach, which is not inferior to the purity of the water on the island of Koh Lan. Pattaya is a dirty sea and a general Asian dirty garbage dump - there is nothing good in Pattaya - if you have a rest in Thailand, then this is just an island vacation - Koh Chang Phuket Samui Samit - there on the islands you will find a Bounty-type beach, clear sea and mass pleasant impressions .... there is truth in Pattaya - a couple of decent hotels - royal cliff and grand centara - but it’s of little use - smelly dirty sea with floating faeces - crowds of dirty prostitutes and transvestites - well, our astonished tourists with an imprint of surprise on face ... Dirty cafes and dirty beaches - not the place to go to rest - for many who travel to Pattaya for the first time and are sold in travel agencies - tours are cheaper than on the islands ---

In some places along the coast there is a smell of feces. Therefore, you can swim only on the islands or somewhere far outside the city. There is a place in Pattaya where you can have a decent rest! And the sea is clean! This place is Jomtien beach. More specifically, the Ambassador city hotel complex. The most downhole hotel in this complex is "Ocean". Rooms with balconies! Without a balcony, you have the prospect of walking in wet swimsuits! The beach is half a meter away. Lots of pools. And, most importantly, there is no stink, as in the center of Pattaya. And there is no disco noise. And if you wish, you can reach the center by tuk-tuk in 15 minutes. This is our 7th time going to this place! By the way, the price is more than affordable. "Botanis" and other "Ravindras" with "Dorshads" are many times more expensive! Believe me, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE cannot be compared with Thailand!
