We put together a small tour: Chang-Siem Reap-Bangkok. And then the question arose, we will be in the country from 13 to 28 i.e. 16 days/15 nights... and visa on arrival for Ukraine is 15/14. How to proceed?
Opening a visa at the consulate is troublesome, the penalty for delay is $ 15 / day (and will it be opened if the ticket is 16 days old), and, most importantly, what about when returning from Cambodia, is the visa a single entry?

Good afternoon,
When you return from Cambodia at the border, you will pay again for the Thai visa and the countdown will start again in the afternoon. So there will be no problems with the visa.

It is not at all troublesome to open a visa at the Consulate! Consul - director of the clinic Boris. Here are all the contacts http://posolstva.org.ua/ru/thailand/consulate.
Call for all details. We did visas - everything is quick and easy.

Pay a small fine at the airport for one day of delay and that's all. We flew for 18 days, and the visa was only for 15. No problems arose, we paid for three days of delay and that's it.

The first time we arrived without a visa for 16 days, we were simply not allowed into the country and demanded to replace our return tickets. We begged the flight attendant of our flight to print our return tickets in 14 days (fictitious). And only after that we were allowed into Tai. When leaving, they paid a fine for each day without a visa. So do not take risks, apply for a visa in Ukraine.

Oh yes, I forgot, we also did this at the travel agency in our city, they printed two electronic tickets for us, for dancing with the date as expected and for us with the actual date of departure.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I correctly understood that after leaving for Cambodia, after 3 days at the entrance I will again pay for a Thai visa? Then how, upon arrival, to argue the availability of a ticket after 15 days?

No contradictions. So you say that you are going to Siem Reap. And it is better to open a visa immediately in Kyiv, it is very simple and fast. And you can immediately double if you confirm the trip to Cambodia - tickets, hotel reservation.

Yes, if you do everything on the spot, you will have two visas and you will have to pay a visa fee twice. Plus, there are long queues for visas in Bangkok, especially if several planes with Chinese and Indians land at once. These are the kind of people that until they ALL pass, you will have to wait.

Thanks for the answer. As for the queue, there seemed to be also a commercial corridor (+ 200-300 baht), such as an accelerated one. In general, a strange thing, I called the embassy and in my case I was hinted at the provision of any exit tickets (it says something like "people do").

In what sense did they hint? We provided copies to the consulate.
Or are you talking about tickets to Cambodia? Yes, we did not have exact plans and did not have a reservation, they said - bring something confirming the exit / entry to Cambodia or another country.

In fact, the situation is this, we arrive in Thailand and after 16 days we have a flight, after 10 days we go to Cambodia (we are picked up by a Cambodian), i.e. we do not have any tickets in the interval of 16 days. At the consulate they told me that there would be no contradictions with the law in our stay ... but only I don’t want to bother with the consulate (a package of documents ...) so they hinted to me what can be done "upon arrival" with the provision any tickets for a date earlier...

In Siem Reap, find a tuk tuker (there are a lot of them) and he will take you to temples for $ 15 a day. No guide is needed! I advise 3 days to all the temples and 1 day to Tonle Sap Lake. There are night buses from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville (sleeping bass and wanted bass) lying down. So it is quite possible to sleep through the night on the road. You should not visit Phnom Penh, there is absolutely nothing to do there
